Default Fons DeMorte

Name: Fons DeMorte
Age: 27
Class: Necromancer
Race: Human
Deity: None followed
BIO:

Fons is a pale thin wisp of a man. Usually secludes himself and his thoughts from society. Most feel an uneasy sensation in the presence of this frail figure. It is not one of fear, but mostly inappropriateness in his ways. His attire signals his true calling and profession, necromancer. His hands stained with black ink, his clothes dark and dull. Only the yellowish color of the bone designed garments yield any brightness to this man's nightly look.

He started out as any other mage has, fascination for magic. As his years through school progressed he quickly found himself isolated and with only one friend, a young mage named Shanuba. Teachers saw promise in Fons's intellect but his lack of social skills excluded him from many student events. Much of his study time was spent with Shanuba studying new plants and exotic components in the wilderness. Both young mages being of equal intellect managed to keep each other entertained.

On one such trip outdoors they went to a graveyard at night. At first it was a challenge of bravery but this night turned sour quickly. While exploring a small crypt of some past noble they accidentally stumbled upon a ghoul that had made the stone vault his home. By chance the ghoul selected Shanuba as his meal for the night. The ghoul attacked and proceeded to shred the young mage’s flesh apart one claw ripping tear at a time. Fons stood frozen in terror watching what was happening to his only friend. He could do nothing to save him. Fons watched as the ghoul ate his companion ignoring the fact another lifeform was nearby. Eventually Fons realized the danger he was in and fled the area.

Because of his friend's demise Fons was expelled from school just before graduation. He had to finish his training on his own. The scene of Shanuba's death kept revisiting his mind over and over through many nights. But it was not his friend’s agonizing death he was focused on but the power of the undead creature. He knew only magic could bring it into being and became fascinated by necromancy's allure. His studies have forever shifted from the normal realm of mages to that of being a master of the undead.
