Default Oran'thalis

Name: Oran’thalis
Age: 122
Gender: Male
Race: Elven
Subrace: None
Class: Wizard
Alignment: CG
God: Lucinda (Is interested in the god now that he has heard somewhat about her)

Personality: Oran’thalis seems quite intrigued by the smallest of things, amused even. But yet still remaining unfazed by petty happenstances. Through out Thamior’s life his curiosity has gotten him into some bad situations, such as the reason for how he came upon Layonara. His mind, though tempted with curiosity, is extremely focused on his art of magic.

Physical Description: Oran’thalis is stands at about 5’ and weighs around 100 lbs. His eyes glow with a swirl of gold and silver. As if looking into the sun as it turns into the moon.
His dark, majestic blue hair flows down to his shoulder. Oran’thalis seems graceful yet frail, his skin somewhat pale, though his robes cover most of it. Upon his hands are many small scars, obviously from mistakes while practicing magic. Upon his ring finger on his right hand is a ring covered in runic symbols, the ring almost appears as if it is part of his finger, unable to be taken off.

Relations: Oran’thalis only is wary of halflings, for their reputation of thievery. Gnomes being a great source for useful inventions. Human’s are not his highest trust, though he knows many are trustworthy. He pities Half-Elves for he feels the half blood is a curse upon them. Dwarves are mostly walking shields to him. But beside all the prejudice Oran’thalis is generally pleasant and respectful to all those that he feels are remotely trustworthy.

Background: Oran’thalis was born into a noble family in a small town called Everwoods. Raised by his older brother Alginare , and his mother Lia. When Ivellios , Oran’thalis’s father, died in a battle to protect Everwoods against a band of blackguards about 102 years ago, his brother had to take the position as Oran’thalis’s father.

Ivellios served as the town’s arch mage, selling enchanted items and teaching young elves how to access such magical powers. When Ivellios fell in battle Alginare took this spot as the arch mage of Everwoods, with Oran’thalis as his apprentice. Oran’thalis looked up to Alginare greatly, though his curiosity usually getting him into trouble. As the years went by Oran’thalis learned many things from his brother that helped develop his magical capability.

One day, Oran’thalis was playing around with a few potions that his brother left out. Suddenly he heard a loud noise from a locked cupboard, being his curious self he went over and looked at the cupboard with question. Oran’thalis tried his best to open the small, frail looking cupboard but couldn’t. There seemed to be a magical lock upon it, he knew it had to be something important in there for his brother to lock it so securely. As a few days went by all he could think about was what could have been inside the cupboard...

A few weeks went by when one day Oran’thalis saw his brother going through the cupboard, but forgot to lock it as he was in such a rush to get to a town meeting. Oran’thalis was quickly at the cupboard with curiosity. He opened the cupboard door, peeking inside. Inside all he could see was darkness, so he decided to cast a spell his brother taught him that would radiate light. As he did the motions chanting the words light burst into the darkness... Suddenly a wand flew out, Oran’thalis spent an hour trying to catch the wand but it was no use. Oran’thalis then remembered a scroll that was give to him by his brother. It was a scroll of Bigby’s grasping hand. As he read the enchanted words waving his fingers a enormous hand grabs the wand. As the magical hand touches the wand a portal appears in place of the wand.

The portal swirling as it gets larger, to about the size of a door. The colors swirling around, as if a rainbow being pulled into a tornado. Hypnotizing Oran’thalis with curiosity, he walks up staring intently at the colors. His curiosity overwhelming him he stepped into the portal, the urge to know where it leads. As the portal fully consumes him his brother comes running into the room as the portal closes behind Oran’thalis’s last step on his home realm.

Oran’thalis now awakes within the lands of Layonara. Not sure of where he is or if he died and this is truly Celestia... His only true goal now, is to cure the thriving curiosity given by all the secrets left upon this new land. Where his curiosity shall lead him, is a mystery yet to be seen...
