Tallis was born in a nomadic halfling tribe. Because of the "free" lifestile these tribes often have, he never knew who his father was. The tribes traveing made Tallis able to see many far corners of the world, and learn many stories from other travelers. It was at the age of 14 he got the idea of gathering those tales into one or more books, but it would take some years before he followed his vision. Only after his mothers death in a wagon accident did he set out on his own, 18 years old. Ever since has he traveled around, trying to gather stories. People keep telling him that it is impossible to gather all stories, but his optimistic halflig heart keeps him going.
