Hollis is a man of contrasts. Capable of tremendous gentleness and kindness to those who need protection, he is also hard as stone and a remorseless killer to those who offend the laws of the land or the laws of Rofirein. Hollis came from a merchant background but the recent destruction of his home and family by bandits while he was away on business have led him to join the clergy and seek to prevent such tragedies from happening in the future and to provide retribution to those who commit such atrocities.

One might say he is driven far more than most would consider normal in this regard. For this reason, he tends to be fairly serious and somber but if cajoled by his friends he can forget his sadness for a time and actually laugh. Hollis is a quiet but friendly man whose life has been tinged by sadness and loss. Once his period as an initiate is over, it is Hollis’ ambition to join the Knights of the Wyrm and bring the protection of the great Dragon to all who live in the lands of Layonara.
