Bio:
At the age of two a child was left at the Temple of Toran. The monks decided to raise the child in the ways of a Paladin devoted to Toran and the good of mankind. Sensing a strong spirit they named him Philos Brontase, meaning Love of Thunder.
Philos excelled in his physical training, surpassing the expectations of the monks. Through the years his teachers noticed the boy's struggle for discipline and learning. He became restless for adventure longing to free himself from the rigorous study demanded by his mentors. There was one monk who took a special affinity for Philos. He alone was able to teach the young boy the importance of discipline.
When Philos was thirteen years old the temple came under attack by the followers of Corath. Through the battle Philos' beloved mentor fell. Enraged with vengeance he vowed to kill anyone who followed Corath, along with any allies to the evil god. The Toran clergy discouraged his anger and taught him that justice would prevail. Unable to accept this teaching Philos left the temple and took to life by the sword.
Feeling betrayed by the followers of Toran he forsake his beliefs in a "weak" god that would allow his mentor to die. He vowed to never again use the divine magic of the Toran clergy.
Although he believes in a greater force beyond his world Philos no longer follows a deity. Instead he trusts in only what he has control over, his sword. With it he shall avenge his mentor's death. |
