this thread seeming like a bash on Chanda.

I assure you that it was not meant that way at all, Aragon.

Not all characters are going to care about where they get their alchemy supplies from. Especially a Nuetrally aligned mage who wants to make his inks, heck a desperate CG mage might not care.

Correct, that's why I wrote it the way I did, that you should think if your character wants to be associated with the deity that blessed the water. If he doesn't care, it doesn't matter whom he buys it from.

As for the usage of holy pools in temples, if you are only allowed to use pools in favor with your diety then your basically saying only certain characters are allowed to gain skills in enchanting. Last I looked there aren't any Nuertal to Evil churches on Mistone. So basically you are putting restrictions on who can do certain skills.Â

Not really, as mentioned by several people above there are temples to neutral gods on Mistone or Rilara (so at least on the West server). In your case, you could go to the temple of Mist in Leilon, granted it doesn't have a pool at the moment but anonimous donations might work.

So following this logic here are the following deities that would not be welcomed to the Holy Pool of Ilsare. Unfriendly: Rofirein, Dorand, Katia Enemy: Pyrtechon, Vorax, Shadon, Branderback, Corath, Aragen, Baraeon Ca'Duz, Sulterio, Vierdri’ira, Grand

Correct.
As to the priests of a temple not knowing what god you worship if you just walk into the temple and use their pool. They would definitely ask who you are and would hear your prayers as the water was blessed so they'd find out
