Hyuga, Bespectacled Ronin Full Name: Hyuga

Class: Fighter
Race: Human
Alignment: True Neutral
Deity: None Yet
Bio/Description:
Late night, the home of Magistrate Haruname, two men face each other in a battle that neither of them belong in. Any other time they would be brothers in the way of Bushido, the doctrine that dictates now that one must slay the other, for honor. "Toshiro! I know not why you are here, but you must turn back!"
"No Gessho, I cannot do that."
"What do you mean?"
"Haruname must die Gessho. It is the only way."
"Then I too must die Toshiro. I pray you are ready to carry out that task."
Hyuga awoke in a cold sweat, dressed, and adjusted his spectacles. He had stayed in town too long, and it was time to be off. It is unhealthy for a Ronin to become too attached to any place, and Hyuga knew that much well. He reached for his sword, before realizing that he had left it long ago, a burden that he could no longer carry, but one he longed for.
It was early morning, and he was able to slip out of town before the people awoke, before the owner of the Inn came to ask for payment, and before the people of the town learned who he was. He stepped through the gate of the town, and heard a voice behind him.
"Stop ronin!"
Hyuga turned to look behind him, and saw a man in ancient Samurai armor.
"You go no farther!"
Hyuga felt a warmth hit him across the chest, and his vision faded he awoke before a great dragon in a strange land, with a strange blade at his feet ...
Heaven was not quite as Hyuga had expected it to be ... But the sword seemed to call to him, and the life ahead of him seemed no worse than his wanderings. "Toshiro ... leave nothing ... nothing to follow you ...
Hyuga has been a wanderer for as long as he cares to recall. Laws and morals mean little to him beyond his own codes of honor, but he is not a particularly bad person. Like all Ronin, he seeks purpose, or atleast an end. |
