Athus Dephillie Character Name: Athus Dephillie
Current Level: 19th

An update on your bio (what has happened in your life up to this point)--probably pretty long
Athus Dephillie was born in Dregar, but where he does not remember. His father is also a cleric of Aeridin and his mother a gentle warrior. The family moved to Mistone when Athus was four and settled down in Luck. One day, Athus found his mother and father having a meeting with the Healers of Aeridin, and soon afterward, his parents left him to the care of the Temple of Aeridin...promising hopefully one day they will be back. The world needed their help...but the two shadows that Athus saw walking out the door never came back.
Athus stayed in the temple and first tried to become a militant cleric, but quiet unforunately, Athus just doesn't get the hang of wielding a weapon and wearing an bulky armor and healing others at the same time. So he decided to become a simple healer. The young Athus found that he was naturally talented in this field, and soon at the age of 16, he was able to help most of the patients without having the Healer's supervision. Athus continues to excel in his fields, but the young fellow quickly found his life in Luck and the temple quiet mundane. One day, a band of adventuerers, in need of healing and supplies, came into the temple. Athus overheard a town nearby called "Hlint," which appears to be the place many adventures starts. With the agreement of the Healer, Athus packed up and headed for the adventure of his life.
The decision to head for Hlint proved to be a very good one. Athus met many new people, among which are Reventage, a fierce militant cleric of Ilsare; Ruggbe, a strange halfing wizard; Gotak, a brave (some say foolish) dwarven warrior; Triba Gues, a jack-of-all-trades halfing; Arestes, a druid and a shifter. Of course, he also met a few unpleasant fellow who dabbled in the art of necromancy, which is wholly against the princples of Aeridin, including Rufus Coldfinger and a man named Nathan Birche, also known as the Prince of Darkness. Athus made all possible attempts to avoid those creepy fellows.
Athus witnessed many extrodinairy events that shaped the world, including retrieving the pieces of the Ancients and helping Shifter's problems. Although many of the early events are extremely confusing to Athus, he was able to improve his healing skills on the battle fields. When Athus has aquired some wealth from his adventures, he thought about all the homeless and the poors that are not able to afford proper healings. Spotting the perfect town Krandor for the new healing house, Athus purchased a small house with the help of the halfing couple Triba and Frin Gues (unforunately, they are now separate) and modified the interior to be both a shelter and healing house, with later installation of a small library and a shrine to Aeridin.
One of the more unforunate event in Athus's life is the death of Gotak. Athus was not able to be there with him when Gotak feel to the death spell of the slaadi, and this pains Athus a lot. Now Athus makes regular trips to the Hall of the Fallen Heroes in Willow's Weep to conmemorate his fallen companion.
Athus also particpated in helping Remiel restoring order to Heaven and Hell. The journey took Athus to many otherworldly placed and furthered his experience. Recently, Athus also helped out when the heroes of Layonara is attempting to unite the five chronmatic dragons together, which was quiet successfuly so far.
Among Athus's present problems is the depression of his shifter friend Arestes, which was brought on by his conflicts with Reventage...(and all those whip jokes by Triba)...Athus wishes he can help Arestes somehow...
What do you think should/could happen to your character during Epic Levels
One of the things I would like to happen is for Athus to make the current Healing House in Krandor into a full temple of Aeridin, of course, that needs money as well.
Another thing is for Athus to find out the reason of his parent's involvement in saving the world and why his parents left him in the temple.
Athus will of course continue on to study to be a powerful and epic healer, and one day even becoming a legend (?) |
