(Rogues are the ultimate class in terms of possible variety; you could have Nimble, the Thief {Dead Gentlemen, anyone?}, Pyyran, rogue in the classical sense of the word, or even Conan the Barbarian. He was a 1e Thief, y'know. Bloody well near anything can be played from the Rogue class, so long as it's nonmagical.)
