Short Bio/Description:
Born in the shadows of Fort Velensk Demarra was forced to be self sufficient at a very young age. With no remembrance of her parents except fleeting images of a mother she never knew Demarra learned that knowledge was the key to her survival. Because of this keen interest in learning and her early self-sufficiency several of the faithful of the Temple of Rofirien took an interest in Demarra. They were intrigued by the fact that allthough orphaned at a very young age, Demarra never took to the rogueish lifestyle that so many of Fort Velensks poor citizens were forced into. Never one to beg or steal it was suprising to see one so young make a 'living' in such a vile area as the slums of the Fort.
Demarra had always had an escape and it was the wild. She realized that to live on the outside she would be forced to learn about the wild on the inside which meant trips to the temple. That is until the late spring of her 14th year. It was at this time that a wandering half-elf monk named Elias Lathear had his evening meal interupted by an inquisitive 14 year old girl who had never seen a monk before and was surprised to see anyone camped so far off the road. An immediate friendship was formed and for the next several months Elias taught her about nature, what to eat, what can cure, how to defend oneself and how to survive. He also taught her philosophy and about the Sisters of Rebirth and Aeridin. Demarra traveled the area with Elias until late fall when he parted company with Demarra for a brief time to revisit some of his brothers. He returned the following spring and continued to help Demarra along her new path which it had seemed she had been destined to follow.
Appearance. Demarra is 5'9 with a very athletic build. Tanned skin from never being indoors her hair also bleached by the sun.
She can speak common as well as a bit of Elvish and she has always loved to read thanks to the residents of the Temple. She is very easy going and always seems to do what is 'right' even if it is the hard way for her. Always easy with a smile which considering her childhood is an amazing feat or maybe that is why she smiles. She knows that the hardest part is behind her. |
