Default Siabo Oddfoot *Sorry about the length*

Full Name: Siabo Oddfoot
Age: 19
Class: Cleric
Race: Halfling
Subrace: Goblin
Alignment: CG
Deity: Shadon
Domains: Trickery and Travel

Description: Siabo is olive skinned and nearly bald. He has tufts of wispy black hair that stick up wildly behind his ears. His dark eyes sparkle with mirth, and his mouth usually forms a smile.
Siabo dresses in bright flashy, often clashing colors and has a hard time keeping still. It should be noted that Siabo does not have the sloping head, and his face is not quite as flat as most goblins. That is because his head was not shaped during his formative years.

Biography:
Bez stifled a cry as Dulratu casually backhanded her and stormed towards the back of the hut. Dulratu was in a rage because the raid on the Halfling caravan had not gone well. He was stomping around cursing loudly and hitting anything that moved. She winced as he tripped over her youngest whelp barely a month old. As Dulratu rose, however, he was distracted by the oldest whelp rushing to aid him. Dulratu thanked the oldest by grabbing his neck and flinging him hard enough to go through the flimsy wall of the hut.
Bez began crying as soon as she heard the sickening crunch of bones as her son connected, and went through the wall. Dulratu charged through the hole he had just put in the wall, determined to finish what he had started. Bez could take no more, to her utter astonishment she hefted the cooking pot and heaved it at Dulratu’s head. She grinned through her tears as she heard another crunch and Dulratu crumbled to the ground. Then she gazed at her youngest, blissfully unaware, playing on the dirt floor.
At that moment Bez realized that her next husband would treat her and her whelps the same as her now former husband. She could accept it for herself, but not for her youngest whelp. Surely the Halflings could not have gone far, perhaps she could find them and sneak her whelp aboard one of their wagons...

Badoc awoke to the sound of a cat mewling at his door. He grinned suddenly as he thought of all the pranks he could play on his neighbors with a wet cat, a bag, and a bit of string. Badoc was surprised when the cat turned out to be an infant. He was more than surprised when the infant turned out to be a goblin. That wicked grin that he was famous for spread across Badoc’s face. Scooping up the baby he headed 2 wagons down where the newly married couple had taken up residence.
The next night Badoc was delighted to find that they had taken his cue and moved the baby to yet another wagon. And so it went for several months. The goblin was passed from wagon to wagon where it would spend a night or so before appearing at someone else’s door. All in all it made for a great game, everyone trying to catch each other sneaking around with the infant.
Eventually however it became obvious that the infant needed more permanent care. The matter was brought before the caravan leader. She decided that the best thing, and the best joke, would for Badoc to be stuck with the infant permanently. Figuring one good turn deserved the other, Badoc agreed, but only if the whole caravan would treat the goblin as just another Halfling, it would be a great laugh when the goblin realized what had happened. With a rousing cheer the caravan agreed and the goblin became known as Siabo Oddfoot.
Siabo grew up under the tutelage of Badoc. The caravan traveled the length and breadth of Mistone, trading with all manner of people and creatures. If a deal turned sour the caravan was able to melt a way in the night, to return later and wreak their vengeance, or enjoy their pranks, whichever seemed appropriate for the situation.
At last came the day when Siabo approached Badoc and asked why he was so different from the other Halflings. With a smile Badoc explained that he had been cursed with Goblinitis when just a babe. He then explained that Siago’s true self would be revealed if he traveled to the lake of reflection. Badoc said that the only problem was that the lake was guarded by ogres. He then informed Siago that he must travel there alone, and only return to the caravan if he was able to discover his true self.
Siabo set off and using the map given to him by his foster father he located the Lake, and indeed it was guarded by many ogres. Siabo sat and pondered for a few minutes what to do. Behind him he heard the approach of horses. He went to look and saw a group of humans, apparently patrolling the path he had come from. He stepped on the path, intending to ask their aid with the ogres. One of the humans spotted him, and lowering his sword the human uttered a cry and began charging!
Siabo could not believe it, but instantly he formed a plan. Moving swiftly he headed deeper into the woods. This forced the humans to dismount in order to give chase, and give chase they did. He easily stayed ahead of them, yet he stayed close enough that they did not lose them. Suddenly he gave a burst of speed and headed right for the lake.
The ogres looked up and saw a squealing goblin headed their way, with a group of humans pursuing swiftly. Without a thought they charged the humans. The two groups met in mutual surprise and fought a bloody skirmish. In the meantime Siabo walked unmolested to the lake. He gazed at and across the lake, and a smile formed on his face.
On the far side of the lake he saw a settlement of goblins. From his vantage point he could see without being seen, by either the goblins, or what was left of the ogres. He watched the goblins for several days. He saw how crudely they treated one another and how hard and without joy their life was.
At last Siabo understood. He had been born a goblin, but circumstance had made him a Halfling. He had found his true self. He returned home and described his findings to Badoc. With a hearty laugh Badoc welcomed Siabo as a fellow Halfling. He then explained that he believed Shadon would welcome him as a devotee, and that is why he had been left with the caravan. Saibo agreed and began learning all he could about Shadon. After a few years Saibo felt he should leave the Caravan and spread Shadon’s party across Mistone. He decided that he should probably start in the most accepting town he knew of, Hlint.

1. I have read the Dogma of Shadon and will do my best to role play a cleric devoted to him.

2. Siabo was raised in a caravan that lived on pranking and treated all of life as a party. He saw how Goblins normally live and is totally devoted to the idea that partying is what makes life worth living, and that a laugh can be had in almost any situation. He loves it the most when he can coax a laugh out of those that are usually stuffy like holy warriors and dwarves.

3. Siabo delights in carrying daggers. He loves the look of surprise on an opponents face when his daggers appear from no where to cause harm. He also loves asking them if they got the point after they have been stabbed. Siabo dresses as brightly and loudly as he can. He keeps his armor bright and shiny, adding metallic bits as he is able.
