Bio/Description:
Toff spends his days and nights singing songs of love and lust. He would occassionally travel to other cities to perform--often uninvited--in taverns. Time and time again he thought his voice would "woo" the ladies and he would always pursue them, but never succeed. He had earned a few good bruisings this way, but it served to toughen him up a bit. He always planned to adventure outside of his corner of the world, but never actually got around to it. He had heard tales from his Mother as a boy that explained about great treasures that could be found throughout the world. The thought of all that he could experience--not to mention the ladies--always excited him.
Toff was a good lad at heart--he always kept his word--but he would often find himself at odds with tradition, if not laws. Toff's Father has never approved of how Toff spent his time. He thought he should stay home on the farm during the day and earn his keep. He's often considered sending Toff out on his own, maybe with one of his sailor friends, but that would likely destroy Toff's Mother, so he kept him around. Toff isn't lazy as such, he just likes to have fun and doesn't think the farmer's life is for him.
Enamoured with a lovely lass named Elara, who often came to Liken with her father to deliver supplies to the docks. His songs are often about her--directly or indirectly--unfortunately for Toff, she doesn't seem to return the feelings. However, he is convinced that if he could have some time alone with her, out of the eye of her overbearing father, she would fall for him.
During Elara's last visit, Toff decided he was going to whisk her away and take his chance. As her Father was taking supplies to the docks, Toff grabbed Elara by the arm and pulled her to a secluded area. Before he could even say anything, she began to scream for help. He tried to calm her, but as people started to come around due to the screaming, all they saw was Toff holding her by the arm. "He's trying to have his way with me!" she said. Before Toff could explain, Elara's Father showed up and pulled out a small blade. Toff was rightfully frightened and had little to defend himself with. He grabbed a fallen branch from a tree and prepared to fight, but before he could do anything, he felt the handle of a sword upon his head and was knocked out. He awoke to find himself with the same tree branch in his hand and in front of a dragon...
