Its not only word, but wordpad and other things. It has something to do with how the forums are handling special characters and how those other applications (even a plain-jane one like wordpad) don't encode them like the forums expect. Not sure what else to say. I simply do not use ' " - -- and such when I type long messages and then copy/paste in to the forums. It doesn't look as nice but it does end up working in the long run. If you are typing directly in to the forum submission though it works fine, the copy/paste just does not work very well at all. |
