One more comment Aerimor.

Another reason I would suggest you actually take one or two more druid levels, is cause in all likelihood you will be required to pass a CDQ. Which would mean more time that you cannot gain or store XP. Furthermore there is always a chance of the character failing a CDQ as well, which will lead to more waiting.

So rather than limit your fun and character progression which could happen without a PrC, I would strongly advise you dont stop playing, but rather continue playing and level as druid till you approved for shifter. Or alternatively continue to play and gain XP with the understanding that as soon as you pass your CDQ or get approved all XP will be removed up to the lvl you want to level to.
