Default Re: Aerimor- PRC request for Shifter

Thanks for the replies and concern guys, it is appreciated. I am not taking the delay in application negatively. Like I said, I look at the time now as insignificant in the whole. I want to have a character I enjoy, not one I got shoe-horned into. I personally do not like the survivability of the Druid class or the redundancey of playing the same class as my buddy (ingame brother(plays a druid.)) So I'd rather wait now and have us diverge paths as soon and quickly as possible.

I have not thought much of the level 16-20, as I said I wanted to be a shifter. So 1-5 is mandatory Druid, 6-15 is exactley what I'm after and 16-20 is filler. Filler is easy, I only see 5 possible classes offered for 16-20. Druid, which as I stated I'd prefer not to overlap so greatly with my buddy and be a pale version of the same thing. A fighter, boring but lots of feats and BAB to make it attractive. A thief, this one may end up being the choice de facto. I am already taking search and disable traps. Tumble would be very nice too. Fourth, Shadowdancer, personally not my taste. Always feels like your taking the class just for Hide in Plain Sight. So unless role play steers me down that path, I will gladly pass this one over. Lastly Monk, I find this one very intriguing, and am gunning for it. But with the Shadowdancer it would require in game roleplaying to open up the avenue for. So far, I have one role play session with the Druid, Miss Katie, where she so much as told me you have to seek balance or become lost in your animal (later shifter) forms. And I can totally see my character going overboard and lossing himself to the 'other' calls. Some training with a disciplined and inner focused master/group, could be great roleplay on finding his inner balance and discipline.

But when it comes right down to it, I'd prefer Aerimor to tell me what he wants to be when he gets there. As I said before, I'd rather invest the time and be happy with my choice, then just choose something because it saves me some XP. XP isn't that important, it is easily acquired at this phase of the game. Speaking of games, this is one, and I remember the purpose of a game is to spend time having fun. And that is what I intend to do, why else play?

As for playing this week, I will be on. I have to gather cotton and corn and work on my Tailoring skill. =) But I will not be leaving town without good reason, I do not want to accumulate soul strands with no hope of becoming more durable. Once again short term suffering versues long term gain. I'd hate to suffer long term because I couldn't take it easy for a few weeks and thus aquired a couple strands. I'd spend my higher levels regretting that choice. And trust me, I do my share of dying. =) And thats before the higher power I shot with my bow crosses my path again and reminds me of my manners. =)

I'd prefer this to be a dead issue and just roll with it, like I said a week or three is not a big deal. Not if it is the rules that are in place. And as for a CDQ at 15th level for whichever class I end up in, that is a long way down the road, we have plenty of time to see where the road takes us. If I end up having to wait some time for a CDQ and/or then fail the quest. I'll wait and try again, and there is always Druid to fall back on. If that is where I end up, then there are worse things. But for now, I'd prefer to leave option open until Aerimor grows up enough to tell me what he wants.

Thanks for the information and concern. It'll work out. As for the XP removal, do I need to be online? If so, I will be on most every night, can I just ask any GM for it? If so, how do I ask them? And should I ask them for a repeat removal each time I get enough XP to level or as long as I don't take a level, is it easier to remove it all at once when I am finally successful with the CDQ? Which is easier for you guys?
