Bio:
I'm a Vancouverite, which lands me neatly in PST. Currently, I'm working as a software developer, which means I'm a nerd both at work and at play. I've a B.Sc. from UBC in Computer Science.
I was first exposed to role playing games (D&D) in Grade 6. I flirted with RIFTS for a bit, but then returned to the True Path.

At some point, I was exposed to Baldur's Gate. Then, in quick succession, Baldur's Gate II, ToB, and Neverwinter Nights. There was something involving the Aurora Toolset and a module... and then everything gets a bit blurry... and then I found Layonara through the Vault. And I've been here for a year and a half.
As a GM:
I've GMed PnP before, written extensively, and know the toolset fairly well - so expect to be a part of a story when you're in one of my quests. You'll be a character with a mind of their own - after all, those are the best kind!
That being said, not every story is the Lord of the Rings, or the Battle with Bloodstone (as the case may be). Sometimes ordinary murders need someone to solve them, hardships of ordinary people need resolution, or ... a wizard needs something fetched for them. This doesn't make it any less of a story - and who knows where even the simplest task can lead? Remember - "every journey begins with the first step."
Also, I like riddles and puzzles - but I'll spend time to make sure they're memorable, and capable of being unequivocally solved, so no worries about riddles with two answers, both of them wrong.
Speaking mechanically...
You will be rolling skill checks on my quests - and I do try to keep things interesting. I don't tend to allow much leeway to let people have their "best" rolls - a high INT and its associated skill points can be very useful - and jewelry is fine, if you can slip it on in time.
Likewise, playing your alignment and your dogma will be rewarded. The converse will not be punished out of hand, (save in exceptional cases, of course), but do bear in mind that
how you do something can have as much impact as
what you do.
I'll flesh this out further later, but for now - happy playing!
