Welcome to the Layonara forums!

Layonara is so much more than a game. We started off as a tabletop Dungeons and Dragons campaign more than a decade ago. Since then we have developed into a fantasy world with as much compelling and engrossing detail as you will find anywhere.

Our current showcase is a Neverwinter Nights version of Layonara, where our world comes to life in a finely polished persistent world which you can play free of charge. These forums are set up to support and accentuate our player's experiences, but it goes far beyond that.

After years of passionate effort, our world is so well developed, so detailed, so refined that any of the handbooks, maps, historical accounts, legends, descriptions of artifacts, creature reports, character biographies, short stories, novels, movies and original art which populate these forums can surely serve as resources or inspiration for your own fantasy endeavors, whatever they may be. And our world is endlessly evolving, so resources are frequently added and updated.

There are also years of sage advice and commentary on role-playing, gaming and online community development stored in these forums. If camaraderie is what you seek, we offer that too. Our community is as active and supportive as you're likely to find on the internet. In short, these forums are a resource for you to use for whatever purpose or project brought you here.

We're confident that you will find what you are looking for, and likely, substantially more.

Please be our guest and browse around the forums which are available to you. As you do, keep in mind that you are sampling only a portion of what Layonara has to offer. Membership in our community is free, and allows you to establish a Layonara identity to pose your questions and share your thoughts on the forums. When you join you'll also be able to communicate privately to other members (PMs), establish and respond to polls, upload and download content and access many other special features. Registration is fast, simple and absolutely free. So please. join our community today!

Bio:
Well, I live in Lynchburg, Va. with my wife Vicki and my two girls Kali (who will be five next month) and Chloe (who turned three in July.) I have been married for seven years and been playing on Layonara for four years.. will be five come January . Layonara has been the only online game I have played or care to try. Its story, characters, and people of the community have kept me here all these years and I do not seeing that changing. I have played PnP for 10+ years and have recently started DM'ing a campaign for fourth edition.

Play Style: (subject to change)
I believe in a good mix of RP and action as well I hold characters to play to their alignment and stick to their morale's. On my quest and any impromptu's I will challenge your characters beliefs. I love riddles and puzzles and be prepared to have them on my quest. I am a fan of chaos and conflict so please don't be scared to argue and bicker among each other or with my NPC's

Above all else we are all here to have fun and I hope I am able to give that to the players as well as challenge their characters.

Rules and Guidelines for my Quest:
Your actions should define your rolls and when I say that I mean don't just roll a search check without emoting that your are searching.

Resting is allowed as long as it is RP'd that your are resting, studying your spellbook, praying or etc. Rest at your own risk!

Looting is allowed unless otherwise stated but, all items that are found must be declared.

Make sure your character is there for a reason and not just to get xp for being on a quest.

Come prepared to RP. Don't think Just because you are not one of the "leaders" of the group that you cannot talk and voice your opinion.

Every player must be treated with respect and in a mature fashion. But, doesn't mean characters have to get along.

P.S.

I am also a big fan of party leaders or a party spokesperson. That person would speak for the party as a whole but, in no way does that mean you have to agree with their choices. However I will assume unless characters speak up that you go with the party leaders choices and deceisions. This way it helps get rid of they hundreds of duplicate emotes of people entering the a room or climbing etc etc.

More than likely I will add more later but, for now I will leave it as is.. Short, sweet, and hopefully to the point
