Character Approvals The characters on this board have been approved by a GM and may be played online, in the world.

Welcome to the Layonara forums!

Layonara is so much more than a game. We started off as a tabletop Dungeons and Dragons campaign more than a decade ago. Since then we have developed into a fantasy world with as much compelling and engrossing detail as you will find anywhere.

Our current showcase is a Neverwinter Nights version of Layonara, where our world comes to life in a finely polished persistent world which you can play free of charge. These forums are set up to support and accentuate our player's experiences, but it goes far beyond that.

After years of passionate effort, our world is so well developed, so detailed, so refined that any of the handbooks, maps, historical accounts, legends, descriptions of artifacts, creature reports, character biographies, short stories, novels, movies and original art which populate these forums can surely serve as resources or inspiration for your own fantasy endeavors, whatever they may be. And our world is endlessly evolving, so resources are frequently added and updated.

There are also years of sage advice and commentary on role-playing, gaming and online community development stored in these forums. If camaraderie is what you seek, we offer that too. Our community is as active and supportive as you're likely to find on the internet. In short, these forums are a resource for you to use for whatever purpose or project brought you here.

We're confident that you will find what you are looking for, and likely, substantially more.

Please be our guest and browse around the forums which are available to you. As you do, keep in mind that you are sampling only a portion of what Layonara has to offer. Membership in our community is free, and allows you to establish a Layonara identity to pose your questions and share your thoughts on the forums. Default Clalai Dwin'are

Full Name: Clalai Dwin'are
Age: 120
Classes: Ranger
Race: Elf
Subrace: wildelf
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Deity: Kithairien
Bio/Description:

Clalai nodded in response and silently nocked an arrow. They swiftly struck down the small squad as soon as they had triggered the trap. Then quickly fel back into the woods. It went well this time, noone was injured. She silently wondered how well they could have fought had they not known these lands so well.

When Sinthar's forces invaded Roldem many of Clalai's tribe were killed. Her sister was killed by one of the demons in their ranks, it was a horrible creature of bone and fire. From that day Clalai has tried to find ways to send back all otherworldly creatures to their planes in a mix of rage and sorrow.

Those who survived began to set up ambushes and tried hard to keep well out of sight. Within the Black Woods on Calishan they at least had less to fear from the forces of the Blood, as long as they did not fall victim to the woods themselves.

To wait patiently, wether is be for your enemies to walk past unaware, or until they let down their guard, it is still the same. To strike swiftly before they have a chance to react is the key. Although, how long do we have to wait until we can reclaim the Tibum Plains?

While a bit reluctantly, she's begun to realize the wild elves cannot face this threat alone. It seems they will have to join forces with the other races and elves.

While pondering this she enters a restless sleep...

Could you provide a little more information on how being a Wild Elf is inherent to this character, her actions and personality. From what I see here, there is little distinction from the Moon Elf. I'd like to see how her race affects her personality and actions. It need not be too much, just looking for a paragraph more. More information on the Wild Elves can be found at http://www.layonaraonline.com/forums...w.asp?tid=4909

To be honest, the main difference is that this character seeks battle rather than tries to avoid it. *grins*

She does not care much for the little pieces of gold everyone seems to make such a fuss about, if someone wants a few to perform a service then fine, but she prefers to gather what she needs.

Her arms and legs carry the white and blue markings of Kithairien, although often she conceals those to remain unseen.

Growing up as a nomad has left her restless and she does not remain too long in a single location. She is usually looking for someone or something whenever she enters a settlement, preferring the wild.

As for her relations to others, it is only in the battle against the blood that she truly feels the need to build relations to others. She would rather travel with her tribe and hunt in peace, but for now she'll have to put up with the other races. (And who knows, she might gain some friends which will last beyond the conflict. *smiles*)

Oh, and I just realized you might have interpreted "It went well this time, no one was injured." as them capturing their enemies without killing them. This is not the case, they were rather swiftly dispatched (being wild-elves and all). (If that's the main reason you felt this character seemed quite similar to Thalis. )

(Also I'm starting to suspect I have severe allusion problems, will have to address that eventually. *grins*)
