Bio/Description: Rocky grew up with his tribe and strived as he could to understand the balance of all things according to the teachings of his tribe. He had two major issues that led him to be at odds with his heritage. First was the idea of balance with respect to good and evil. Second was his unquenchable love of the earth, rocks, and gems in particular. As to good and evil he could never understand the reasons given for tolerating evil in the pursuit of balance. The tribe heritage made such a big deal about the evils of the bigger races. In fact the rejection of that evil was why they were so secluded in their existance. So why was it necessary to tolerate it if one had the ability to do something about it. In his heart he always sought ways to do good for others. As to his love of the earth, it began when he was young and a travelling merchant happened on his village. The merchant had amongst his wares some inexpensive but beautiful gems. Rocky bought one. He felt he had never seen anything so beautiful in his life. As he discovered that these gems were hidden deep in the earth he began to obsess with learning all he could about the earth. It was during this pursuit that he learned of the worship of the deep mother. As a child he was teased about his love of the earth since all of the other children loved their tree homes. He was nicknamed Rocky and this name eventual stuck so hard that it was name tatooed to his flesh in his Ritual of Naming. When he was 15 his great grandmother died. As part of an inheritance he recieved there was an ornate gold ring with a small but lustrous diamond in it. He took this as a sign from Beryl and his ancestors whom he held dear for guidance that he should follow Beryl wherever she may lead. His fanaticism eventually become impossible to hide from his tribe and he was forced to undergo the Ritual of Change and leave his home to find what he needed to seek an inner balance. He is wandering the lands attempting to satisfy his hunger for gems and the cause of good. He may never be able to reach a balance that would be acceptable to his tribe but he does honestly attempt to understand others and study his heritage.

I have read and understand the doctrines of Beryl. Rocky does not have any issues with her dogma and in fact it is her dogma that draws him to follow her.

since you are applying for a special subrace please include more detail abotu why its integral as opposed to being an average halfling
