In ca. 1321 the human Inaran the Bard, was on his way home from his most recent adventure, and he had to go through the Forest of Mists, although he hadn't heard much good about it. At least the weather was great, and the forest was nicer than he had heard, so he was i a good mood. He was singing one of the songs he had learned of a traveling elven bard. Suddenly, he could hear someone singing along. But when he looked around, he couldnt see anyone.
He decided, that someone with a voice so beautiful, had to be worth spending some time on. He set up camp, and started singing, and short thereafter, the voice was there again.
They kept singing until the sun had went down, and Inaran couldnt stay awake anymore... He said goodnight, and went to sleep. The next morning, Inaran woke up, to see a pile of fruit and some sort of liguid in a bowl made of leaves. He ate and drank, and started to sing again. This went on for two more days, before the voice even answered when he said goodnight. Two more days, the voice told him its name, it was Aeval Melidiere. The next day, when he woke up, he found more than just fruit outside his tent. Before him stood the most beautiful women he had ever seen, and he new that it had to be Aeval. She told him that she had fallen in love with his voice, the first time she heard it, and over the days, she had come to love him, for staying to sing. She took him to her home, and a year later, the had a beautiful daughter, whom they named Ainé. When she was 7, they realised that she had an inborn ability for magic, and when she was 19, they decided that if given training, she would become a briliant sorceress. They found a teacher for her, a charming human sorcerer called Achelous, and during her training, the became closer and closer, and after 2 years, they decided to get married, and moved to the city of Nar. In 1363 they had a daughter, they named her Ehlana...
Even though her sylvan blood was thinner than her mothers, she too had a innate ability for magic. But, instead of getting a teacher for her, her parents decided training her themself. When Ehlana was 22 her father told her to go to the city of Dalen, and seek out, an old friend of his, a woman called Asrai. She was a cleric he grew up with, and he trusted that she could teach Ehlana some respect for the divine. Ehlana Traveled to Dalen, and learned about many of the beliefs in the world, and even took a liking to the dogma of Lucinda, although not enough to become a priest.
Now two years later, she is ready to follow the urge to learn more about the world, and, she has the ablities to take care of herself.
[I see Ehlana as a striking young sorceress, focusing mainly on Enchantment and Abjuration, basicly the typical sorceress, with a thirst for knowledge, although without beeing a living fireball cannon] |
