Lancur is a holy man. The son of a priest, whose father was also a priest, and a man who will fight for the good of the people. Born and raised in close proximity to religious worship and close to a temple, it was expected that Lancur would follow in the line of priests in his family. It was well known that his family travelled the lands, doing worthy deeds, and giving help to those who need it.
Lancur was a little different to his forefathers, he had ambition, his faith to his god was strong, and he joined the temple as a helper. Although he had some of the monotonous tasks of cleaning and fetching, he was not discouraged. His father was impressed with how hard his son worked, and he began to tell Lancur stories about the Great Protector. Lancur would often listen with intent and always wanted more.
Lancur had a great surprise on his 15th birthday. He awoke at the sign of first light, and quickly awoke the rest of the house. Lancur had waited a long time for his 15th birthday, his father had promised a surprise, a gift that would “make him very happy”, and Lancur couldn’t wait much longer. His father handed Lancur a box, decorated with a golden compass, with the words “May you never be lost”. The box had frayed edges, and the material had become discoloured from its original crimson shade. Lancur looked to his father, who seemed to shed a tear. Lancur lifted the lid to reveal the small golden dragon that had once belonged to his grandfather. Lancur was surprised, and overjoyed.
Lancur had become a full-time worshipper to Rofirein. He had enjoyed his 5 years so far, whilst he helped keep the temple in a clean and tidy condition, and now he finally had the chance to really make an impact. He studied hard, trained harder, and prayed and meditated often. Unfortunately his mother died and his father became distraught and unhappy, and his father’s faith seemed to dwindle. Lancur went with his father to a quieter place. Lancur never finished his training, but his worship still continued whilst away from the temple. Lancur couldn’t explain it, but without his faith his father faded quickly. Lancur was 20 when his father died, and without the need to stay away from the temple for any longer, he headed back.
The temple hadn’t changed in the 3 years he had been gone, but the people who had once studied with him had now left. They had their travels and adventure to seek, and innocents to protect. Of course, Lancur was not disheartened by this, and he soon immersed himself in a more rigorous schedule than before. He was 23 when he finally had the chance to prove himself. He was elevated from his initiate role, and decided to take some time away from full duties, not knowing his path yet. The night after his ceremony he was looking over old parchments, some maps of the area, even part of his grandfather’s journal. The golden dragon, placed on a small pedestal, resting on the desk, it seemed to catch the candlelight, seemed to shine brightly. Lancur decided to leave the temple during the coming week, seek out some places he had heard of but not seen. He would follow his faith, but he needed to see what else was out there. He knew that the world was not right; he had heard from many that there was a need for support. He set out, travelling the lands, seeing what existed. There were those who needed guidance, and those who needed aid. “Protect those who need it, fight with the claws of Rofirein, and may his scales protect you in return” was what his grandfather used to say, it appeared so many times in his journal.
It was one night, that whilst staying in an inn, he felt rather sleepy. Lancur found it odd, it was still light outside. He decided that he had travelled too far over the last few days and decided to have a rest, he ordered a room. However, once he had fallen asleep, he had a strange dream......
(Meets with dragon, etc)

There are a few blanks in the story, so I will fill them in here
1) His mother was simply a commoner, who happened to meet Lancur’s father whilst he was on a journey, their initial encounters were never discussed much.
2)Lancur grew up in Fort Valensk and attended the temple there.

Lancur is 5 foot 7, with dark brown hair. He doesn’t show signs of long hard battles, nor does he show the appearance of preacher. A sword by his side, a shield at the ready, any journey is long and dangerous, and one must protect oneself before one can help others. He was never one for leading people, nor is he a great speaker. He values his god greatly, and wishes he could get others to see the greatness of the Protector, but he has tried many times and failed. Strong of heart, and with a determination to keep his family tradition alive, he hopes to have his own lengthy journal, his legacy to his children.

1. I have read the information on Rofirein and I will play Lancur as a faithful priest of Rofirein to the best of my abilities.
2. Lancur’s family have always held the belief that people should have someone to turn to for help. Some people feel lost, others fear their lives, but a follower of Rofirein will help them. Lancur is a strong believer in helping those who need it, righting wrongs, and doing what is necessary. Every Rofireinite has a duty to help others, and every follower should respond to the call of his faith.
3. His sword and shield are never far from him. Usually found wearing robes whilst attending prayers, or away from danger. When travelling, he will usually don his full armour, for attacks are commonplace whilst travelling.
