Physical Description:
Slightly taller than most males of his kind, Valass takes care to maintain a top physical form; one must be strong of mind and of body to achieve greatness. He is slender, has thin white hair with streaks of grey and eyes of a reddish hue. Valass often hides his appearance behind a dark cloak but when not hooded one can see that his face is marked by a rather thick scar that starts at the right side of his jaw line and runs down the better part of his neck. He will not discuss the wound's origin.

Strength: slightly above average as per his attention to it.
Dexiterity: above average; innate racial bonus and training.
Constitution: below average; innate racial penalty and slender frame.
Wisdom: average to below average as per his personality (very one tracked and closed minded).
Intelligence: above average; racial bonus, class training.
Charisma: slightly below average Drow due to physical scar and reserved and self absorbed personality.

Background:
Much to his disgust, Valass had the misfortune of being born into one of the lower rung houses in the dark city of Klaterin. He quickly realized that this, coupled with his society's propensity to favor females, would make life very difficult for him. At a very early age, Valass became an addict. He has a lust, an almost uncontrollable thirst for power. He wants it. He needs it. This thirst drives his every action, often unbeknown to those in his company. For Valass every action has a purpose; his purpose.

Soon after learning that he had been chosen to be part of the next raiding party destined for the surface, Valass made, what he believes to be, the most important decision of his young life; he would leave his homeland. At the time, the decision was easy. It was either stay underground and suffer a life of mediocrity, with the occassionl beating by some unrelenting female of his house. Or, leave and be solely responsible for his own destiny.

Soon after fleeing the Undredark Valass realised that surface life might well prove to be more difficult than he could have imagined. He soon had to learn to hide and steal just to survive. To his surprise, he was quite adept at it. It wasn't to long before these skills became second nature to him. He would continue to study his favored art in secret, often learning new spells through scrolls and "books" that he would acquire from time to time. One night, Valass broke into one of the larger houses in town. It was here that he was caught, captured, and held by one of the more powerful wizards in the area, Alusaire Mhendel, known and unknown to those in town. It would not take long for Alusaire to realise that his captive was a practitioner of his chosen art and over the years to come the two would form a strong relationship; although both approached it from a different angle. The old mage saw an opportunity to pass on his knowledge to someone in whom he saw much potential. Valass seized the chance to gain safety in residence, and, more importantly, gain knowledge. The relationship worked for both.

Young and confident, Valass is a swift learner, a trait that has not gone unnoticed with his "master". He has a quiet and reserved manner and he is very aware of how hard he must work to achieve his goals. He is eager to prove himself. He can be an asset to any group, but make no mistake, Valass cares only for himself and his life.

Would like to have additional Deep Drow language and The Silent language added if possible. I plan to have a fairly high starting INT.

Please read the CN restrictions in this forum. Essentially you may not take CN at this time, sorry. Also, you must have at least 5 levels in any one class by the time you reach level 20.

You will get the 'silent language' automatically when you take your rogue level(s). On the Drow language you will get that automatically when you log in.
