New Character Submission

-Just posting a request for a new character to be approved.

-I was also going to request that he be granted a celestial ear, but I’m not too sure how that works, whether I have to have done a lot of RP for both new characters and existing ones to be granted, or just for existing ones. I thought I’d include a paragraph at the bottom detailing how he would know the language just incase he can have an ear, although I know it isn’t likely as I’m new to the server. I realize that if it was granted I’d have to RP it as though he does not know much of the language and would only be able to speak very basic sentences.

Class: Monk (planning on keeping it monk, may change later on though)

Amnas looks about 6’8” and looks as though he weighs between 170-210 lbs. He has tanned skin, most likely from the amount of time he spends in the open. He has long flowing hair, seemingly black, but when the sun catches it, it looks almost blue, and hazel eyes. He is slim, and does not seem to have much physical strength, but moves with considerably more grace than most elves.

Amnas’ mother was a commoner and his father devout follower of Aeridin, so he grew up learning the teaching of Aeridin, his father hoping he would too become a devoted servant of the Lifegiver. Amnas believed in full almost all the teachings of Aeridin, and had his heart set on becoming one of his followers, until he realized that whilst the teachings of Aeridin were great, so must be the teachings of the other deities. So, against the will of both his father and mother, he set out on a journey, not having a particular path, but always seeking the teachings of other deities, as well as others.

He does not follow any particular gods, and is instead guided by his own morals, but having traveled an extremely long time, visiting many of the churches of the other gods, as well as visiting vast libraries containing information on them, and whilst he still believes in the teachings of Aeridin, the teachings of Rofirein and Toran also play a significant part in his life. He has learnt of the many dangers both in his travels, and through his studies, and so now begins his combat training, choosing to train unarmed so that he does not need to lug armor or weapons around with him.


-Celestial Language Ear:
Whilst on his quest for higher learning, he happened to chance upon the remnants of a manuscript containing teachings written in a celestial language, and through years of studying the few pages, has picked up the meaning of some of the basic words and phrases found within it.

Oh, and just to clarify, where it says 'is instead guided by his own morals', his morals are those of a typical lawful good aligned character

As to the ear just understanding a few words and studying via text and not with others and such is not good enough to be given an ear. However, it is a jump start on receiving one if RP in game and keep a character development thread--about 1 month RL of heavy RP with others that speak the language and a development thread will get you the ear. Just request in this thread when you are ready, remember you must have at least a 12 int to get that other ear.
