Here stands a very unusally half-giant. He is rather huge for a half-giant. standing at 8 feet tall, weighing at around 400 pounds. The most striking feature of him, is his black hair and icey green eyes. He's not your typical half-giant, as he seems rather intelligent, and speaks flawless common. He is dark and moody at one time, then turns bright and cheerfull at others, it seems he's looking for the name of his mother, and the where abouts of her family if she had any. Also he can be found asking people if they have seen a strange elf with clear blue eyes, blond hair, and a blue robe, with travel stains and peices of leaves and branches scattered on it. just dont ask him about his past, he will turn angry and maybe violent. He hates all giants with a passion, but no reason given when asked.
Biography:
Vladimur's life is a dark and sad tale. It all started when his human sorcerous mother was caught by some hill giants in the grey peaks mountains. She was raped by the viscious male giant cheiftan Skull and forced into a life of servitude to this giant clan, the unimaginative name of rock chuckers. Beaten, half starved she had no energy or will to use any of her magic to try to escape, and with the burden of her pregency, all her thoughts went to her unborn child. One night, when the clan was asleep, she went into labour. One female giant, was woken up to the sound of her screaming, and went to investigate this strange noise. When the giantess got to the source of the screaming, she noticed the human female, barely alive, all bloodied and torn due to the large size of the male child she bore. She had enough energy left in her to whisper the childs name to the giantess, "Vladimur". Then she died.
He was a strange child. The giants, used to seeing other half-giants were surprised by the looks of this one. He had black hair, not common at all to half-giants, who are usually hairless. Staring through clear frosty emerald eyes, showed a level of intelligence not associated with half-giants. Later on, the giants would rue the day they let this child live.
By the time he was 18, he had fought hard, mastered a great sword and became a fierce fighter. This is when he peiced together to events that led to his birth. When he found out, that the cheiftan Skull was his father, and what had been done to his mother, he swore an oath to himself to see his father dead. Maybe one day he would discover his mothers name, and if she had any family.
One day, out alone, or so he thought, he discovered he had some ability in magic. He started to cast some weak fireballs at the side of the mountain, experimenting with a harmless light spell, when he was discovered by the clans shaman
The shaman, surprised to feel such strong magic from this strange and ugly half-breed took it to himself to start training him in the clans way of magic. Here Vladimur excelled. In no time he outstripped the shaman in knowledge and in power. The shaman, feeling extremely jealous, planned to kill this upstart as soon as he was alone with him. But alas, Vladimur knew this day was comming, so when he went for his training with the shaman, he had a plan.
When the shaman came to the appointed spot, he saw vladimur allready there. Or so the shaman thought. In truth, Vladimur went ahead earlier, setting up stones, grass and some old clothing of his to simulate his own silute. Then he found a safe hiding spot near where he thought the shaman would appear. As the shaman was casting and launching a fireball towards the fake Vladimur, he sprang up from his hiding spot, and ran the shaman through the heart with his sword.
Satisfied, a thought occured to him. He can have his vengence on his father, and leave the clan forever. After the fact, his plan wasnt as bright has he thought. During the night, he snuck into the chamber where is father normally slept. Due to his surprise, his father was awake, and he had a couple of his henchmen along with him. Without a further thought, Vladimur roared out his rage and charged in, Skull, surprised at this display of rage, hastily put up a defence, but the rage of his son was no match. In one giant cleave, Vladimur almost seperated Skulls upper torso from the shoulder to the waist. His sword, caught on bone, would not come out, the henchman shaken out of their stupor quickly attacked. One hand still on his sword, he puched and kicked has hard and fast as he could, but it wasnt enough. One of the henchman, broke his arm and some ribs. Finally his sword came loose, with one arm useless and dangling, he called up some fire, barely escaping being burned himself, and damaging the attacking giants. While blinded and in pain from the unexpected fire, Vladimur chose this time to leap in and finish them off. The giants and his father now dead, vladimur stumbled out side in great pain due to his broken arm and ribs, discovered some other giants heard the noise and guess what happend. Huriling rocks at vladimur, barely dodging them in time, this went on what seemed like hours to vlad. Almost out of the grey peak mountains, a rock smashed into his back, and everything went black.
Waking in and out of conciousness, Vladimur discovered his arm and ribs where bandaged, cuts stiched and cleaned. He had made it somehow into the fringe of the high forrest, where the giants chasing him, figured he was dead and left. It seems he was discovered by a strange elf. The elf, when discovered this monstrously huge oddity, found his appearance strange. He figured he was a half-giant, but he had long black hair, and strange green eyes. Some form of pity must of took hold on the elf, as he some how carried Vladimur to a make-shift camp farther into the high forrest.
Few days later, Vladimur became fully awake. He looked over and saw a smiling strange elf, strange clear blue eyes, long tattered blonde hair and a dirty blue robe with bits of the forrest stuck to it. Fear took hold of him, as he tried to reach for his sword, and back away from the elf, but a kindness in the eyes of the elf stopped him. For the first time in his life, he felt somewhat safe, and relaxed.
After healing enough to move around, he told his story to this elf. On how he found out what happened to his mother, his training and killing of the shaman, also his ill-fated killing of his father, and the fight that almost killed him. Intriged, this elf, who hadnt offered his name, nor did Vladimur want to ask him, something of this elf told Vladimur, to listen and not be an idiot of himself. Vladimur ask him why he had saved his life. The elf was silent, for what seemed like hours to Vladimur. "Because I sensed goodness, and magic potential in you" Then the elf smiled. A slow smile crept onto Vladimur's face, and for the first time in his life he was happy.
For over four years this elf taught vladimur all about the various lands and races inhabiting Layonara, the cities, governments and the various deities of layonara. Also taught him survial skills for living alone in the forrest and other bits and peices of knowledge. The elf also took on to improve Vladimur's common, so no trace of his giant upbringing could be detected in his speech. For some unknown reason, this elf, who still hasn't given his name, nor had Vladimur possed the courage to ask, started to teach him the elven language. Surprisingly to Vladimur, he was able to learn elven. After more than three years, he was able to speak it fluently. His curiosity and thirst for knowledge grew and grew. The elf wasnt able to teach him much about magic, just about the weave, and the different schools of magic. He told Vladimur, that he was of the Wizard school of magic, and Vladimur was of the sorcerous school. One day came a point when the elf couldnt teach him anymore, and one night just vanished. Saddned, Vladimur missed the elf, who became like a father to him.
Determined to make his life as an adventurer, and maybe one day find out who his mother was and if she had any family and find them. He set off towards a little town the elf mention called "hlint", to start his new life, with purpose and clarity, and maybe someday, to find this mysterous elf, find out his name and thank him for saving his life, and giving him a purpose to live. Now, what to excpect in this town hlint wondered vladimur, as he left his home of four years in the high forrest...
///If this is approved, I will add points to int to offset the penalty. Also, for multi-class, start as a fighter for a level or two, switch to sorceror, till hes half and half, or whatever limit for each class I am allowed.
///Also, for main race, its half-orc, then subrace half-giant? and how to get the short bio to appear in game. thanks.
edit: rearranged a bit.
