Kharloc belonged to a nomadic orc tribe that never lingered in an area for more than a month. As a child, Kharloc was always picked on and bullied for his naturally weaker body compared to full blooded orcs. Adult orcs never fully acknowledged his presence; they considered him an inferior being with inferior blood, and only tolerated his presence because of his father Kharnok, a well-known and accomplished raider of the tribe. Besides, no one would want to end up on the wrong end of his halbard.

For some reason, his father never neglected him, and strove to improve the young half-orc. Reasons for this are unclear; perhaps he wanted to mock the humans as he raided the caravans and produced his son to them. Or perhaps Kharloc is his first offspring, and he wanted to make a point about his lineage.

Regardless, Kharloc hardly lived up to his father's expectations; failing at wrestling contests and weapon-spars that his tribe often engage themselves in. He does sometimes win, as he realised that raw stength would not win him the day; often he would watch the movements of his opponents and reacting accordingly. He also has his revenge by inciting anger between young orcish gangs, which resulted in rather painful brawls. After all, it isn't too difficult to goad young hot-heads, especially when it involves slander.

The end of his tribe was brought about when Kharloc was 18, when they encountered another band of orcs; worshippers of Grand. Refusing to relinquish their worship of their ancestors, fighting broke out. While the Grandians were less in number, they bore more impressive arms and armour. Kharloc was quite impressed and fascinated by one of the Grandians when she began to unleash powerful arcane energies on them, which when he observed many of his tribe fall, he decided it was a good idea to start running...

Personality and Description:
Standing at 6 feet and weighing at around 250 pounds, the bald half-orc is calmer in demeanor compared to the rest of his tribe. While most of his time was spent sparring and weapons training, he also spent some time examining plants, precious gems, clouds and generally anything that sparks an interest in him (not that his father fostered any of this - it was seen as being lazy). Due to his upbringing, he does view himself as inferior and will never let himself admit such, nor anything else which he precieves as a weakness. Coupled with his orcish blood, he can be quite brash at times.

Edit: Forgot to mention that Kharloc isn't too fluent with Common yet, as he only learnt bits of it while in his tribe.

Edit 2: *stabs fingers* I also forgot to mention that Kharloc has slight yellowy tinged eyes.

Also you are approved for an orcish language ear as you obviously would be fluent in it having been raised by orcs. Please ask a GM in game for one at your earliest convenience, and keep a character development thread/journal about your apprenticeship into wizardry. You may take levels in wizard once you have a mentor willing to vouch for your training, and a few journal entries detailing as such.
