Prishia’s grew up with three younger and three older brothers. Dolls, playing house and dressing up were traded for sword play, archery practice and creative competitions emphasizing strength and speed. She developed extreme stealth and cunning in mock battles. She could keep her with her brothers, and loved surprising them at her skill and strength. As a result, she never doubted her strength or questioned whether being female was a detriment in battle. Yet, she knew she had different needs than could be fed by a house full of boys. She would retreat into the High Forest and not be found for hours on end while her brothers searched in vain to find her. She relished the solitude found there.

Despite her family’s financial independence as a result of a large inheritance, they lived in isolation deep in the forest. Her mother believed she knew best for her children, and opposed outside influences in regards to their education and upbringing. Her father made a handsome salary as a coat maker of distinction. Word of his creations created a flurry of demand that allowed him to charge top dollar to royal families who used them as an item to be coveted. Initially, Prishia loved going hunting for pelts with her father, and she was surprisingly gifted at getting close to the quickest of animals without being heard or seen. The sadness she felt after her father killed them soon kept her from joining him. Instead she would look for animals that were in need of healing and use the forest’s herbs and liniments to do so.

As she matured into a young woman with sultry long black hair, and comely proportions, she was unaware of the attention paid to her physical beauty. Fiercely independent with a profound sense of right and wrong, she felt justified using her skills to correct injustices she discovered as she ventured beyond the comfort of life with her isolated family.
