After years of passionate effort, our world is so well developed, so detailed, so refined that any of the handbooks, maps, historical accounts, legends, descriptions of artifacts, creature reports, character biographies, short stories, novels, movies and original art which populate these forums can surely serve as resources or inspiration for your own fantasy endeavors, whatever they may be. And our world is endlessly evolving, so resources are frequently added and updated.
There are also years of sage advice and commentary on role-playing, gaming and online community development stored in these forums. If camaraderie is what you seek, we offer that too. Our community is as active and supportive as you're likely to find on the internet. In short, these forums are a resource for you to use for whatever purpose or project brought you here.

| Lucas Grey Name: Lucas Grey
Race: Half Giant
Sex: Male
Age: 23
Class: fighter/Bard
Alignment: TN
God: None
Bio:
"Music gave that kid life, cuz boy, he's got it's soul"
Bout twenty five years ago, a giant came round hlint. Normally, they didn't see Giants int hat town. half Giants yes, but full blooded Giants? As far as giants went he was good lookin and smart. Hell He could be said to be good lookin and smart for humans. Wasn't a commont rait in his kind, made folks wary, though also kinda charmed them. Something about good looks that put people at ease, and his were no different. He even had a human name, David he said his name was, David Grey. Of course he caught the eye of that Dame Carly, Carly Wintermyer her full name was. As dames go, there wasn't much better lookin than Carly. Angle soft hair with a face that could calm a storm they said. Yes she was the prize of Hlint at the time. Though she wasn't the type to go outside of town or talk with adventurers who passed through. In fact, it took the town by surprise that she even started talking to David. But something bout him caught her eye and held it cuz she did, and she wouldn't stop.
Now David had planed on just passing through hlint, not realyl looking for a place to settle down, never though humanity could accept one with his blood. A good assumption if there ever was one. Most would ahve stoned him out of town, but like i said, Looks can keep people calm if they're good enough, and even make a guy acceptable no matter who he is, if they're good enough. What had begun as a passing through turned into an over night stay, then a week vacation and eventually a house on the outside of town. Him and Carly saw each other every day almost, a regular picture perfect couple. Despite David being a hulk, and Carly being fragile as silience, they struck people as a good couple. raised Spirits they did. Eventually the two got married. Had a good friend marry them too, and he was happy to do it. Though everyone was worried that they'd try for a baby. Friends told Carly that she shouldn't, that his blood would give her a kid just too big for her to birth, she didn't car ethough. Told everyone she loved David Grey with all her heart and that she'd have his baby. It was fool's gold to try and stop her. Now, i'm not one for birthin stories or detaisl bout them, but i can tell ya the results. a father and a motherless son.
The loss of something as beautiful as Carly always brougth around an aura of sadness. just broguth tears to folks eyes seeing such beauty go to grave. Was like seeing a red rose wilter and fall, just was sadening. Well as it goes, the funeral came and the funeral went. Carly was six feet under with a right headstone above her body. Not a soul blamed David neither, she'd been dead set on a child with his and her blood, and she'd done it. The child was as healthy as health could get. Hairless as they came too. THought that was to be expected of a half giant. David Named the boy Lucas, Lucas Carl Grey. Carly had always liked the Name Lucas, or Luke for short. Said it was an angel's name, and if she had a son he'd deserve no less.
They say two good lookin lovers are gunna make a good lookin kid and they were right. Well, he looked as good as a half giant could. Usually being hairless would make a guy a freakshow, no eyebrows, no nothing. But somehow, hsi genes made the trait fit his face. To anyone not knowing better he was just a big kid with some hair troubles. He was as smart as he needed to be, with a good build. He wasn't the quickest, but that was expected of a guy his size. all this didn't matter though when this kid sang. from the time he coudl talk he was singing. Had the voice of the earth they said, and he did. when that boy sang it was liek listening to the rocks, the mountains, and the hills singing. Such a deep voice. Of course, as he got older he got better with that voice. used to sit under the tree between the bank and the smithy and just sing, with his buddy Jake Rowe playing guitar. Jake even taught him how to play some. Jaked used to tell Luke that one day they'd travel Layonara together and everyone would follow them to him them play. Luke would jsut nod and listen. Jake had lots of ideas and lots of dreams. A real kid.
Other than Jake, Lucas didn't have many friends. Didn't seem to care about much else but singin and music. No one questioned him bout it though, Not even his father. They jsut accepted that he was born of music, and that he'd die of music. When he wasn't singin with Jake Rowe, he wa shelpin his father with the daily chores, bringin in wood, choppin wood, huntin food, and makin sure the crops grew right. Theyw ere one of the few folk whos till hunted for their food. Mostly they ahd traps out in the woods, the local druids didn't liek that much, but it was easier than havin a man craft a bow for a guy their size. David used to have sit downs with Luke all the time, teachin him this, teachin him that. He wanted his kid to grow nice and smart. He had good blood in him, everyone knew that, and David wanted to see that blood used to it's fullest. Though he helped his dad, that was just about the only help Luke gave to others. He wasn't much for doing things just to do them, he wasn't lazy, just dispassionate in a way. He had one love in his life, and that was song. He never fancied any dames, he never helped any elderly, he just sat under that tree and sang with his pal Jake playing, or helpe dhis dad with their livin.
Well, as they say all good thigns must come to an end. Dark ages came and with it dark times. Turned out David's outter apeparence was better than hsi inner. His heart gave out on him while choppin wood one day. For the town, it was almsot like seeing the story end, Especially when Luke left town. Parentless the boy was only sixteen years old. He'd grown up fast though. David had turned wise witht he death of Carly, and had given Luke some good lessons of life. He knew how to get through, and tour around Inns with Jake. thigns had turned around byt he time they were eightteen. Luke was starting tog et the handle of playign the guitar and Rowe had hands said to be possed by the goddess of beauty cuz of the tunes he'd play.Luke's voice had matured even further, some said he could put a babe to sleep in jsut three notes. His big fingers though were a trouble with Jake's guitar. The only note he could playr eally was the "A". and that was only cuz it only required on finger across three strings.
As things go, his luck wasn't done with it's bad streak, and Rowe ended up losin his strummin hand to a wolf. Whent hat happened Luke took Rowe back to hlint and left himt here, a tear in his eye. with no one to play his songs, he took up the life of a mercenary. He was a big man, so folks would pay jsut to hav ehima roudn to escourt them. He looked like he could fight like a mad man, and that's all that mattered. From time to time he used to visit Hlint and offer some of the gold he maked to his old pal Rowe and to talk bout old times, though mostly he just escourted folks and looked mean.
wasn't till nearly four years later that he found the guitar. A big one. put some hope back in his life. He picke dit up and played one chord, the only chord he knew. The "A".

| Re: Lucas Grey Hi there!
While the kid sounds affable enough, remember under the Alignment Rules, Half-Giants have to be TN, CN, or the Evils.
After the alignment is changed and the bio changed to reflect it, this application will be reviewed again.

| Re: Lucas Grey Alignment: Half-giants are as diverse as humans in alignment. Few, however, fall into the extremes of Lawful Good or Chaotic Evil; instead they are usually somewhere in between, tending to the chaotic.
And
Adventurers: Half-giants tend to make their careers where their strength can work to their advantage. Half-giants are commonly found fighting in the games, working in the military, or testing their mettle against the many adventures in the world. While Half-giants may occur in any of the giant types, player character half-giants are only of the hill giant variety and thus cannot be lawful.
are the only two references to alignments with Halfgiants, your link doesn't work. so from all i can find, his alignment is within rules.

| Re: Lucas Grey Heya.
I see others have served well in my absence to point out that, in fact, you do have to play by the monstrous characters alignment rules.
Regardless, there's still the other point of my previous post: Quote: |

This just isn't possible. An alignment shift is a radical change in personality. I'd like to see that reflected in the bio before Lucas will be making his way in-game.
