Biography:
The young dwarven mother sat by anxiously as the visiting soothsayer poked and prodded her baby. The boy, for his part, merely gazed up at the flickering shadows and light cast upon the ceiling by the guttering lamp.
"A blessed soul in this one, though filled with turmoil," the bent old soothsayer says as she wraps the baby back up. "The clerics will want to put him under the hammer."
The mother scooped the bundle up protectively and the witch chuckled not unkindly. "It's a saying, dear. It means they'll want to see if it is Dorand that stirs him."
Relaxing, she gathered up courage to ask what she had come for. "Do you feel a name for my child, mother?"
"Odium is his name. Odium Firebrand."
------
"Odium? Odium!"
The cornhusk doll, dressed in carved wood armor, burst into flames before Odium's mother could get there. With a startled yelp, the young dwarf let the doll drop to the floor and stuck his burned fingers in his mouth.
"Why, Odium, do the lessons of the forge not stay with you? If you touch the forge wall it will burn you just as your doll burned when you pushed it against the brick."
The mother, after assuring herself the burn wasn't bad, turned back to the carving of axe handles she had been working on. "Go on and play in the tunnels," she called over her shoulder.
"Yes'm." Before leaving, though, Odium knelt down to the smoking doll, turning it over so it lay upon its back. Then he pushed a thumb down upon the charred head until it collapsed into ash. An oddly satisfied look crossed his face as he head out into the dark tunnels behind the forge.
------
Odium sent punch after punch into the face of his fellow pupil. He was clearly the victor of the schoolboy brawl, yet he continued to swing at his prone peer. Finally, the alchemy instructor made it past the cluttered tables to the pair and dragged Odium off.
"That is enough! What started this nonsense, Odium?"
"He put out my candle."
"What?"
"My candle," Odium says and points to the candle on the lab bench used to warm the flasks, "he put it out."
The other young dwarf rose shakily to his feet, wiping at a bloody nose and staring at Odium with fear.
The teacher sighs and looks to Odium. "Continuing this behavior is not constructive. You need to speak your mind before resorting to fists."
"Yes sir." Then turning to the bloodied fellow student as if nothing had happened he says, "You want to go play?"
------
"Lad! Are yeh nae seein' the smoke?" The bearded instructor moved Odium aside forcefully. "If'n the Master o' Crafts were wantin' slag, 'e would o' nae provided such fine ore for the meltin'."
Later, after the instructor had gotten the smelter back in order and sent Odium to shoveling coal, he had whispered words with the cleric of Dorand that oversaw the training of the faithful. "I canno' fathom tha' lad's moind. 'E forges a fine copper blade, then 'e leaves it in too long durin' finishin'. An' 'is thoughts, they fly abou' like smoke on the wind."
------
"Odium, sit down. Your training is... has gone as far as it will go with us. Too far, if truth be told." The master touched played with a symbol of Dorand in his large meaty hands. "You can call upon... you clearly are calling upon the blessings of a god. Though it is not Dorand."
Odium dragged his gaze back from looking at the fireplace and simply nodded.
"Be gone before first light, lad, and do not set foot in our temples again."

I hope the following makes clear my intentions with this PC and how I will play him.
Alignment
Alignment - Avlis Wiki is what I am basing my understanding of CN around.
Odium is not crazy, per se, but he will not be of stable mind. He'll swear at anyone and everyone for trivial disputes, blowing them up into big deals. Just as quickly he'll forget them. He'll just as soon destroy a fine piece of metalwork, as put it to use. Morals do not play a part in his thinking. There is no wrong or right, good or bad. He prefers to see something destroyed, though that is less of a conscious decision as just something that "feels right."
He is not driven by greed. Doesn't care about life, love, and happiness. He just eats, fights, and wanders. Along the way he tears down what he can.
Deity
I am working hard to get Pyrtechon as his deity because I am going to have great fun with RP around the summons.
He knows full well what god has blesses him. However, not being trained by any clergy of Pyrtechon, he has a lot to learn about this.
Other
He is not of noble birth, nor does he have any in his past. He comes from a simple family working in one of the smaller dwarven enclaves of Northern Dregar. His father is dead. His mother forgotten after she sent him to be taught by Dorandite clerics.
The clerics knew he was channeling a deity, though it took them some time to discover the source. This was due mostly because Odium had not yet learned anything. Once he began casting (first level cleric) they quickly surmised his nature. They hoped to "fix" Odium and lessen Pyrtechon's influence. That failing, they sent him on his way.
Odium does not necessarily hold a grudge against the clerics. There will be days he doesn't even think about his youth and past. Other days he will dwell on some minor perceived slight that they dealt upon him. This slight, though, is as likely to be not feeding him enough as it is kicking him out of the temple.
I had trouble understanding what was needed for a NE alignment. If there is more insight into CN that I should know, please point me to the resources and suggestions. I'd rather not write more IC story dribble and address specific behavior questions, if possible.
1. I acknowledge that I have read and understand the details of Pyrtechon and will follow them to the best of my abilities.
2. Odium will be focused on fire, finding ways to send the living to their deaths with it. I hope to have his spells and other skills center around fire.
3. Odium will wear red heavy armor and wield a weapon embued with fire damage when possible.
