New Character Submission - Focus Finkle

Biography:

It was arround 1363 when the Finkle gnome family was settled down in Haven town and had some wealth to live with.

Although in that year, there was something strange going on. Sometimes shadows came over the night, and you could hear weird screams of agony and pain.

That has not been a problem, since their house was pretty secure, and no kind of monster was able to break into. Breaking into was not what happened anyways.

One of those screams awoke Mr Finkle. He got up in the middle of the night and walked arround in the house to see if it was all in place. But he was sweating, feeling a strange heat in the air. It was almost 2 minutes later when he started hearing "cracks" on the walls and the floor. He opened the windows and saw his house in fire. He ran to wake Mrs Finkle and they could impressively jump down the window and get not more than a few scratches!

They were now out of their house, with no way to going back into, but they didn't see no one out there too. They started looking for a safe place to stay during the night. They found this abandoned sewers, more like a cave, where they could go in and stay for a while.
It was at that time that the magic happened. They've put together their hope and their fear to give birth of this child.

- An year later -

With a lot of work, the Finkles were able to restore a little of their house and lives. The child was now born, named Focus and had some life months. There was something special about the boy! Maybe something about his mothers magical blood. Mrs Finkle came from a sorceror bloodline family. The child's eyes sparkled and the adults could feel a magical aura on him.

- 10 years later -

Still a child, but much growed up, the boy never used magic, not only once. And while running arround a planted area, he amazed himself with a Unicorn he saw! He ran towards it. It was white, and shined like a spark of light from the sun. Focus managed to get near it, he almost touched it when it DISAPEARED! In front of him, so close, and it just went away!
So came this old human laughing and said: "Amazing isn't it, boy? I learned that trick long ago! I always loved to see the excitement of people when they see this RARE beings." - And than the old man disapeard with some hand sings.

- Another 10 years later -

Focus have tried since that Unicorn Illusion to do the same the old man did! He did have some success on making things disappear and to work on some hairchange, but he still could not create a Unicorn.

- Finally, year 1418 -

He is not a boy anymore. Although he hasn't growed in size too much. He is 55 years old now. Still his blue eyes sparkle and his dark hair attract some women attention.
New magical tricks were cast by the young sorceror now. He has specialized in tricking people with his illusions, although they were not so significant tricks.
A dream he had. A dream of being able to see that Unicorn again! So he left home seeking for a new space to start his arcane experiences. He goes to the Port Hempstead.

1. On Layonara Unicorns have been absent from the world for some time. Please change the animal to something else.
2. We need a little bit about what makes Focus true neutral. Please add in a paragraph or so about how he sees that world.
3. Please add a bit more about what it is like being a gnome.

- Finally, year 1418 -

He is not a boy anymore, although he hasn't growed in size too much, he became a man of principles! He is a man of word, but if he doesn't promisse something, that's because he's thinking on going on the most lucrative way.
Focus is 55 years old now. Still his blue eyes sparkle and his dark hair attract some women attention, although he is not very worried about it; he cares more about his magic progression.
New magical tricks were cast by the young sorceror now. He has specialized in tricking people with his illusions, as all the good gnome caster types, although they were not so significant tricks yet.
A dream he had. A dream of being able to see that Unicorn again! So he left home seeking for a new space to start his illusive experiences, with different people that would not know his tricks. He goes to the Port Hempstead and try a new life there.

Some final notes on character creation:

• Please note that racial adjustments for players with subraces are skin based and thus get applied after getting in game.
• Only two ability scores can be less than 10 and only one can be less than 8 after racial adjustments
• Brownies, when selecting a head, the head you choose on the halfling selection will correspond to that numbered head for elves (for example, clicking right 6 times on the head selection during character creation will take the 6th head when clicking right on the elf creation)
• Half-giants and ogres, please ask for a GM (type /dm Anyone here?) if you would like to change to a custom skin.

Where do I find a "HOW TO CONNECT" Tutorial?

I never played NWN online, so I don't know how to make it, and didn't find it yet.

Sorry for the delay on this.

After the intro movies and all that, click the Multiplayer option on the menu. If you've never logged in before, you'll likely need to create an account, but you can do that right there at that screen by clicking the button - it will likely ask for your email address, it's been ages.

Once you manage to get connected, click 'direct connect' at the bottom row of buttons in the Gamespy screen, and type "west.layonara.com" with password "layoplayer". You'll be at the character selection screen after that, where you can create your character, then will log into an OOC starting area called the Eye of the Storm. You can go straight ahead from there to the portal, or browse around a bit to look for information and such.

Let us know if there are any steps left out of that and you need any help!
