thread if you like for the super detailed bio and tale of her life so far. Otherwise..heres the quick and dirty....
Abi was born to Sakura and Barion Firesteed nigh unto 18 years ago after teh fall of blood.
Her mother died about a year after her birth to trolls in the swamps near Vehl. Since then she was raised by her father and several surragate parents. She lived ina hidden village on dregar for the first 10 - 12 years of her life. The village was originally where her mother grew up in seclusion (the village was brought to life in a cdq for sakura). After the plague that struck hurm her father barion led a group of refugees there and reestablished the village. In part to protect the people and also to have a place where his daughter abi could be raised in relative safety. Barion Firesteed being a hero of the war with blood, he feared for his daughters safety.
It was here that she developed her love of the wilds. Her uncle Dalan Stoneaxe visited her often (he was very close to sakura and considers abi his niece in honor of this friendship) and began teaching her the skills necessary to survive in the wild (ranger skills-dalan is a ranger). He also began teaching her the dwarfen tongue at this time and has continued her education in it throughout her life. Also during this time her father began teaching her how to fight.
After awhile her father remarried and he removed abi to his home in haven. There she lived with her stepmother and father, often causing considerable trouble.
As she grew, she continued her training in the woods learning the skills of a ranger. She has always felt more at home in the forests of the world than trapped in the cities.
Her training also began in the arcane arts. She was deemed to have the ability at an early age (discovered by Eghaas Treebringer=eggie), and it wasnt until she returned to mistone with her father that he found her a tutor in the arcane. Early on she seemed to have a knack for the wizarding arts, but after taking an extended break from the teaching she found she just couldnt get the process down. The discipline of being a wizard just wasnt in her and she couldnt wrap her head around the complex ideas a wizard needs to wield the weave. In time she realized that even though she could not deal with the serious studies and ways of wizards, she could touch the weave and make it work for her. She is just now beginning to understand how to bring forth the magics from within herself without the complex rituals that wizards use to manipulate the weave.
While her father is away, something happens (havent decided what yet but i have a pretty good idea) and abi needs to leave hempstead. She will begin her adventure in Vehl.
