Sasha Tomyris -Request for Dwarven Ear

Almost since the time of her inception Sasha has travelled with, amongst others, a plethora of dwarven and dwarven-Voraxian allies. She has constantly been surrounded by these companions and over the last six months (RL time) she has been endeavouring to learn the tongue.

Some of the people she has been with or has learnt from are the following:

Hilda VonAxeweilder *
Fenrir (limited)
Kuguar Deepvein
Jacrum Shieldbreaker *
Gothim Shieldbreaker
Gard

Along with others from time to time. The main people who have been teaching her have an asterisk next to their names.

Communication on the field of battle is inherently important to her and since most of her allies are dwarven she must be able to communicate in a way they also readily understand. Hence why she began to learn the language. This has continued since some of her most staunch companions are dwarves. In fact Jacrum is well known as her Pohur'kah or brother and they give each other solid support on the field of battle and away from it. Hilda and Argali also are two of her best friends both on and away from the field of battle.

There have been a couple of notes in the past through her journal about the learning but its well known in game that it has been happening and that she has been trying to learn the language and communicate with her friends and allies.

Dezza, please have the players post here confirming the tutoring and explaining the method and extent of teaching it. Any links to thier own journals documenting the teaching would be helpful as well

My character Gard Ironjaw (mentioned above) engaged in ingame RP with Sasha where she was helping him learn his letters - CDT link here. As such, she certainly had some exposure to written dwarven when she was aiding him with his own learning.

Edit: To be honest, not enough that you'd approve the request on the basis of my RP alone. Just might be considered additional beneficial circumstantial evidence.

I can attest to the long association Sasha has had with dwarves, not only with Argali, but also my other previous character, Vlanin.

The use of the dwarven language with Sasha began naturally in combat. Voraxian dwarven offers a precision for battle tactics and stratagy that cannot be matched with common. It is also a far superior language for hurling insults at the enemy. Sasha knowns her 'title' in dwarven and how she fits in a combat unit.

When Sasha asked Jacrum directly to teach her dwarven he clammed up. He did told Sasha of the story of Clari and Haldamir. He asked Sasha for her aid in finding out what happened to Clari and Haldamir in exchange for the teaching.

Sasha's own life seem to parallel that of his friends, she made 'friends' who were rumoured to be involved in Corath. The man named Alandric. This parallel of Sasha's life with the fate of his old childhood friends worried Jacrum in a way he could not articulate. Instead he once again clammed up as his trust in Sasha's judgement was shaken.

In terms of development I would say Sasha would now be able to find her way around a Dwavern military unit or warband. Order an ale in a dwarven pub or ask for directions in a clan hall. More complex discussions would still be out of her reach.

In terms of time, this roleplay has developed over the course of several real life months. It has been almost a year since Jacrum and Sasha first met. It was during their first few meetings that they formed a close bond and Jacrum began to refer to Sasha as 'Thak' a shorterned form of 'Thathkah urwa Poazkkna'.
