Character Approvals The characters on this board have been approved by a GM and may be played online, in the world.

Welcome to the Layonara forums!

Layonara is so much more than a game. We started off as a tabletop Dungeons and Dragons campaign more than a decade ago. Since then we have developed into a fantasy world with as much compelling and engrossing detail as you will find anywhere.

Our current showcase is a Neverwinter Nights version of Layonara, where our world comes to life in a finely polished persistent world which you can play free of charge. These forums are set up to support and accentuate our player's experiences, but it goes far beyond that.

After years of passionate effort, our world is so well developed, so detailed, so refined that any of the handbooks, maps, historical accounts, legends, descriptions of artifacts, creature reports, character biographies, short stories, novels, movies and original art which populate these forums can surely serve as resources or inspiration for your own fantasy endeavors, whatever they may be. And our world is endlessly evolving, so resources are frequently added and updated.

There are also years of sage advice and commentary on role-playing, gaming and online community development stored in these forums. If camaraderie is what you seek, we offer that too. Our community is as active and supportive as you're likely to find on the internet. In short, these forums are a resource for you to use for whatever purpose or project brought you here.

We're confident that you will find what you are looking for, and likely, substantially more.

Please be our guest and browse around the forums which are available to you. As you do, keep in mind that you are sampling only a portion of what Layonara has to offer. Membership in our community is free, and allows you to establish a Layonara identity to pose your questions and share your thoughts on the forums. When you join you'll also be able to communicate privately to other members (PMs), establish and respond to polls, upload and download content and access many other special features. Default Mojevaro Handula

(I haven't been accepted into Layonara yet, waiting on reply...hope its ok if I get this done now, so I can start playing sooner, if I get accepted)
Full Name: Mojevaro Handula (Mow-ee-var-o / Han-doo-lah)
Age: 27
Classes: Druid, Fighter
Race: Human
Subrace: N/A
Alignment: True Neutral
Deity: Katia
Domains: N/A
Bio: Growing up Mojevaro lived alone with his father, a high-standing member of the small clan they called home. His mother passed 3 hours after his birth, when a complication surprised them all. After her passing, a red-hawk was found at the base of the tent the family was mourning in, and came to grow up with and follow the broken family.
In time, Mojevaro learned how to will nature to his desire, and that respecting it would bring more fruits than harming it. The hawk, suspected to be a miracle from Katia, was still alive at the small child’s 7th birthday. Moje’s father was rarely home, as he was recently titled chief of the clan, and was busy caring for the others. This left Moje with plenty of time, fiddling with nature, making flowers grow, and learning to walk more keenly in the presence of animals. He had a way with the animals, that led to a passion, that led to a companionship.
By now, the hawk was nearing 19 years old, and so was the young man Mojevaro was turning out to be. Every day the hawk lived was another miracle to Moje, he knew that the animal’s time to be sent to the great beyond had come and gone by now. Happy to have the gift given to him at birth still was guiding his path with animals, Mojevaro began to look into a shamanship, passed down to him by the current shaman of the tribe.
Then, unexpectedly on the night before Mojevaro’s induction, humans in a city several hundred miles eastward forced the Tribe into slavery. He began to lose sight of nature, but kept in contact with the hawk, who led him through his new found training, as a warrior. Because of the overlooking watchmen, Mojevaro worked only at night, leaving him exhausted for chores the next day.
Inspections were held once every fortnight, to make sure the slaves were in good health, those who did not pass, where placed into dueling matches with an adolescent lion. Fierce, and angry for the way the animal-watchers were treating him, the lion never turned down an opportunity to fight.
With all of the late-work, and the nights spent training in darkness, Mojevaro began to become physically inept, and could do his work easier than before. His new muscles allowed him to let his now-old father rest, while he did his chores. On a cold summer night, Mojevaro’s father contracted a disease, and was forced into the lion ring.
The day of his fathers death loomed on Mojevaro, and it led him to a plan. He could not take his fathers place in the ring, but he could do something more spectacular. The morning of the grimacing task, Moje snuck under a pile of laundry, to be delivered to the coliseum so that the dancers would have proper garb. After arriving in the coliseum prep-area, he found the lion quickly with the help of the hawk, now approaching its 25th year. Remembering the way he loved animals as a child, Mojevaro convinced the lion to be his mount...and with it, a daring escape was made. Riding into the arena, and grasping his fathers clammy arm, they raced towards the door. Entangling the guards in vines, and having the hawk open the door with a key, stolen from the guard’s motionless bodies, they had fled from the grasping holds of slavery.
Moje could not cure his father, but he made sure he died in nature, at rest with Katia. The lion had been left in the lands he came from, and the journey home was made by foot. The hawk, now 27 years old, the same age as the man whose shoulder he perched on, followed Mojevaro, in search of adventure.

Since you are multi-classing please note this. Once you leave the path of the Druid you cannot go back. Be very sure before you start to multi-class if that is what you want to do and when you wish to do it.
