| Character Approvals The characters on this board have been approved by a GM and may be played online, in the world. | | Welcome to the Layonara forums!
Layonara is so much more than a game. We started off as a tabletop Dungeons and Dragons campaign more than a decade ago. Since then we have developed into a fantasy world with as much compelling and engrossing detail as you will find anywhere.
Our current showcase is a Neverwinter Nights version of Layonara, where our world comes to life in a finely polished persistent world which you can play free of charge. These forums are set up to support and accentuate our player's experiences, but it goes far beyond that.
After years of passionate effort, our world is so well developed, so detailed, so refined that any of the handbooks, maps, historical accounts, legends, descriptions of artifacts, creature reports, character biographies, short stories, novels, movies and original art which populate these forums can surely serve as resources or inspiration for your own fantasy endeavors, whatever they may be. And our world is endlessly evolving, so resources are frequently added and updated.
There are also years of sage advice and commentary on role-playing, gaming and online community development stored in these forums. If camaraderie is what you seek, we offer that too. Our community is as active and supportive as you're likely to find on the internet. In short, these forums are a resource for you to use for whatever purpose or project brought you here.
We're confident that you will find what you are looking for, and likely, substantially more.
Please be our guest and browse around the forums which are available to you. As you do, keep in mind that you are sampling only a portion of what Layonara has to offer. Membership in our community is free, and allows you to establish a Layonara identity to pose your questions and share your thoughts on the forums. When you join you'll also be able to communicate privately to other members (PMs), establish and respond to polls, upload and download content and access many other special features. | Myrena Full Name: Myrena D’Antoree
Age: 122
Class(es): Fighter/Cleric
Race: Elf
Subrace: Drow
Alignment: CG
Deity: Shindaleria
Domain: Magic/Good
The family of D’Antoree was a prominent family in the Church of Vierdri'ira and enjoyed a prominent seat in the upper echelons of dark elf culture. Around the time of her birth, Myrena’s mother (a Vierdri'ira priestess) lost grace with Vierdri'ira when she refused to “silence” one of the more outspoken and free-willed members of the family who dared to bardge into the inner sanctum of the temple. The D’Antoree family fled the surface world to try and escape the wrath of Vierdri'ira. During a voyage to seek asylum on the island of Voltrex their ship was caught in a furious storm and dashed upon the reef off the coast of Voltrex. Mustering her strength, Myrena’s mother did all she could to save her baby, and managed to gather some wreckage for a makeshift raft. By the graces of the heavens members of the temple of Shindaleria swept up the mother and child from the sea. It is at this temple that Myrena flourished and called home.
Basically, Myrena is aware that she stands out in society, and is often ostracized for her racial background. She is vengeful regarding the fate of her family (her mother soon perished a few years after the ordeal, and blames Vierdri'ira for the pain suffered by her family), and has taken the word of Shindaleria to heart. Myrena has taken up the blade in the name of Shindaleria, and seeks to “right” injustices, and would like to champion those who would otherwise be too weak to defend them selves.

| RE: Myrena Sorry to barge in here, but a small comment regarding dark elves on Layo, as they're a bit different from the regular ones.
Myrena's mother could never have been in Baraeon's good graces as he killed off all his female worshippers about 1500 years ago, being female automatically puts her in his bad graces You might change the bio somewhat that they got out of the good graces of the Talthara (ruling council) of the city they lived in and had to flee to escape destruction or something. Then you can blame both dark elf Gods
I suggest you read up on dark elf culture here: http://www.layonaraonline.com/forums...d=2907&posts=1
on the god for male drow, Baraeon Ca'duz, here: http://www.layonaraonline.com/forums...d=5054&posts=1
and on the goddess for female drow, Vierdri'ira, here: http://www.layonaraonline.com/forums...d=5030&posts=1

| RE: Myrena That tab above shows all of them on one page. But it is short descriptions of each. If you click on the link that says 'more' for each of the deites it will give you the full details of each one.
Or, go download the handbook (underdownloads) and get them all in one spot.

Subrace: Drow

Deity: Lucinda
Domain: Magic/Healing
Mustering her strength, Myrena’s mother did all she could to save her baby, and managed to gather some wreckage for a makeshift raft and pulled her daughter to shore. By the graces of the heavens members of the temple of Lucinda came upon the two and extended their aid. It is at this temple that Myrena flourished and called home. Growing up, she found her natural affinity with magic particularly comforting in the halls of Lucinda, especially in comparison to a world that begrudges her kind.
Basically, Myrena is aware that she stands out in society, and is often ostracized for her racial background. She is vengeful regarding the fate of her family (her mother soon perished a few years after the ordeal, and blames Vierdri'ira for the pain suffered by her family), and has taken the word of Lucinda to heart. Myrena has taken up the blade in the name of Lucinda, and seeks to “right” injustices, and would like to champion those who would otherwise be too weak to defend them selves. Myrena is confident that exploring the world will give her much needed insight into her devotion to Lucinda and allow her to hone her skills for the greater good of society.
