Corvus is by birth a Highlander,born into one of the clans that dot the Greypeaks...Orphaned at 10 in an orc raid,that also saw his first kill.Gutting the Orc that slew his mother.Corvus was taken in by his uncle,a smith by trade and taken to live in the city.The early years were hard on the youth.Looked down on for his heritage he was always battling his peers,never would he back from a fight nor would he suffer injustice to those weaker than the pack, he gained a grudging respect and eventually a wide berth was given as the years passed and his frame filled.Corvus was destined to be a large man.At his uncles insistance and to reply the kindness Corvus allowed himself to be apprenticed as a smith,though he harboured no great desire for the craft.Forge work crafted the frame and stature of the man be has become.Never one to shirk Corvus applied himself and though competant as a smith his heart was never truely in the craft, and when not at the forge he trained in weapon craft discovering an aptitude for weapon play and considering his size and strength a remarkable agility.
Eventually Corvus tired of town life,filled with stories of adventure and far lands gleaned from hours spent in the practise pits and the realisation that he would never master his uncles art,Corvus took his leave and struck out initially for the Greypeaks.A chance encounter in the hills was to change his life forever.
Drawn to the sounds of battle,Corvus happened on a clearing.Therein two Dwarves were battling back to back against a raiding party of greenskins amidst the bodies of three of there comrades.Even as he watched a silver and red armoured Dwarf was knocked from his feet by a club blow to the head,without pause for thought Corvus drew blade and lept from cover charging into the fray he drove back the Orcs momentarily to take up the vacent space.Towering over the dazed dwarf he fought on,even as his sword snapped he swept up a fallen axe and carried on.His intervention saved the day,the dwarf rejoined the fight and the three were able to drive off their attackers.Friendships forged in battle are strong ones and this was the case.Corvus traveled with his new companions and fought alongside them gaining an acceptance he never truely experienced with his own kind.One of his new companions,the warrior in silver and red,was a Cleric of Vorax and through his teachings Corvus embrased the worship of his diety. Sponsered by his friend he recently was initiated into the Order of the Bloody Axe.Corvus is a Paladin of Vorax,and is keen to uphold the teachings and creed of his god.He will seek out evil and destroy it, rejoycing in the call of just battle and ever vigilant against the seeds of evil.He shares his bretherns distrust of magery and works tiressly to keep his mind and body pure and ready for battle.
