Character Approvals The characters on this board have been approved by a GM and may be played online, in the world.

Welcome to the Layonara forums!

Layonara is so much more than a game. We started off as a tabletop Dungeons and Dragons campaign more than a decade ago. Since then we have developed into a fantasy world with as much compelling and engrossing detail as you will find anywhere.

Our current showcase is a Neverwinter Nights version of Layonara, where our world comes to life in a finely polished persistent world which you can play free of charge. These forums are set up to support and accentuate our player's experiences, but it goes far beyond that.

After years of passionate effort, our world is so well developed, so detailed, so refined that any of the handbooks, maps, historical accounts, legends, descriptions of artifacts, creature reports, character biographies, short stories, novels, movies and original art which populate these forums can surely serve as resources or inspiration for your own fantasy endeavors, whatever they may be. And our world is endlessly evolving, so resources are frequently added and updated.

There are also years of sage advice and commentary on role-playing, gaming and online community development stored in these forums. If camaraderie is what you seek, we offer that too. Our community is as active and supportive as you're likely to find on the internet. In short, these forums are a resource for you to use for whatever purpose or project brought you here.

We're confident that you will find what you are looking for, and likely, substantially more.

Please be our guest and browse around the forums which are available to you. As you do, keep in mind that you are sampling only a portion of what Layonara has to offer. Membership in our community is free, and allows you to establish a Layonara identity to pose your questions and share your thoughts on the forums. Default Xargylth

Name: Xargylth Blarth
Age: 17
Diety: Katia
Race: Halfling
Sub-race: Goblin
Alignment: Chaotic neutral
Classes: Druid/Ranger (half/half)

Me names Xargylth Blarth , Me was of tribe Blarth . We were spider riders from Sielwood. I was harvester of poison from the spiders. I helped hatch the spider eggs which we used for food and other magical uses. Me mother always told me I hatched a nice spider egg. Our tribe bartered with the Ettercaps for nice silk skin shirts. Life was good until the tribe was betrayed by them. There was one harsh winter when they decided to eat our kin. I watched in agony as they webbed and poisoned my tribe and cast their spider pets upon them. They even called the same spiders we bought from them down upon me kin.

As I watched from a distance I realized I was alone and without a tribe. I wondered deep into the heart of the forest, I made paths where there were no paths. I had to get far away from the horrors of the death of me tribe. I wondered upon a place me never laid eyes on. There in a grove was a seven pointed star made of corn, and green swirling grass of a magickal nature. I heard whispers calling me from the trees, they were sayin 'Come little one, come indulge upon the breast of the good mother Katia.’ I saw the center of the star grow and became enveloped by the swirling green light within the finest of the blades of grass.

Echoes, eternity, that’s all I remember as I suckled the tendrils of my new mother, she took me in, she taught me the ways of the forest. She cared not for my appearance other than I was an entity of green light. In that star , I lost my life, and gained anew. I saw the world through a looking glass the worlde hath nigh. She imbued upon me the wisdom of balance. After time she sent me to do her bidding in the worlde , I had to leave that tendril nest and seek the world out with this new vision, this new wisdom no tribe of mine had every seen.

As I voyaged out of my home, madness tempered me natural inclination towards the shadows and the chaos within. My goblin heritage was still there with me , always likely to use the forces as a power to suit me. I knew the rule of three's and I was willing to take a hit here and their in spite of my wanting to see all's well.

I am but a speck in the great balance of nature. I hate ants for their adherence to law, and bees as their tyrant queen sends soldiers to sting you as you sip their honey. So much better to be a mockingbird, to sing in any tongue of your fancy, than to adhere to law and structure. I lack the conviction for true goodwill, but I still know the fault of extremes in morals. Animals care not for who is hurt or who bares malice...

CN is a restriced alignment on Layonara. I really dont see a definite thing in the bio that shows this character would be CN.

Please reread my renditions. And take my factor of me being a bit mad as to why a goblin would serve nature in a chaotic neutral way.....also consider the fact that most goblins are less likely to be CG than CN.

Thanks

I have seen many goblins play CG but I will approve this. Your character will be watched in his alignment.
