Diir Kailan came from a family of stonecutters who lived in the city of Port Llast. While in school at the age of 12 his parents and younger brother were killed by orcs who raided the city of Port Llast for its wealth. During the raid Diir was able to escape the school yard and make his way back to his house. Upon reaching his house he witnessed the slaying and torture of his family in their front yard. After the initial shock of the massacre, Diir was able to sneak out of the city and into the near by forest. Diir has been on his own ever since the orc raid of Port Llast. He spent his teenage years fending for himself and living off the land. He has studied, tracked, observed, and killed many orcs for the past ten years. He is a skilled hunter and can survive in the wilderness for extended periods of time. Diir has a deep seeded hatred for orcs because of the slaying of his family. He will stop at nothing to stalk and kill orcs every chance he gets. Diir is also known to help fellow travelers, protecting them against orc raiding parties, thieves, or any other type of harm that may come to the unsuspecting traveler when wandering through the forests.
