Character Approvals The characters on this board have been approved by a GM and may be played online, in the world.

Welcome to the Layonara forums!

Layonara is so much more than a game. We started off as a tabletop Dungeons and Dragons campaign more than a decade ago. Since then we have developed into a fantasy world with as much compelling and engrossing detail as you will find anywhere.

Our current showcase is a Neverwinter Nights version of Layonara, where our world comes to life in a finely polished persistent world which you can play free of charge. These forums are set up to support and accentuate our player's experiences, but it goes far beyond that.

After years of passionate effort, our world is so well developed, so detailed, so refined that any of the handbooks, maps, historical accounts, legends, descriptions of artifacts, creature reports, character biographies, short stories, novels, movies and original art which populate these forums can surely serve as resources or inspiration for your own fantasy endeavors, whatever they may be. And our world is endlessly evolving, so resources are frequently added and updated.

There are also years of sage advice and commentary on role-playing, gaming and online community development stored in these forums. If camaraderie is what you seek, we offer that too. Our community is as active and supportive as you're likely to find on the internet. In short, these forums are a resource for you to use for whatever purpose or project brought you here.

We're confident that you will find what you are looking for, and likely, substantially more.

Please be our guest and browse around the forums which are available to you. As you do, keep in mind that you are sampling only a portion of what Layonara has to offer. Membership in our community is free, and allows you to establish a Layonara identity to pose your questions and share your thoughts on the forums. When you join you'll also be able to communicate privately to other members (PMs), establish and respond to polls, upload and download content and access many other special features. Default Purgie SkullDozer

Name: Purgie SkullDozer
Age: 17
Classes: Monk/Druid
Race: Half-Orc
Alignment: LN
Deity: Katia
BIO:

I dont know how well this fits into the Layonara World but...

The Half Orcish SkullDozer Clan has been a target of aggression from Orcs and Humans alike forcing its people deeper and deeper into seclusion. Over time, as their numbers dwindled, the people of the SkullDozer clan began to forget their Orcish and Human heritge and create their own customs and traditions. They no longer sought the destruction of their enemies or to enhance their lives with riches and wealth. Today the people of the Half-Orcish SkullDozer clan seek to live at peace with their surroundings.

Purgie SkullDozer, daughter of the clans Mother Shaman, has reached womanhood. She is to walk in the steps of her mother when the time comes and take on the Role of the SkullDozer Clan Shaman. But first she must prove to herself and to her clan that she is capable and wise, and she must do this alone without the help of her friends and familly.

Purgie sets fourth into the largely unknown world she has been sheltered from in search of wisdom and experience. She must learn how to obey and enforce the laws of nature so that she could better serve her clan whom await her return.

Purgie is unlike the typical Half-Orc. All of the SkullDozer clan are. Largely they've all laid down their weapons of war to seek a peaceful exsistance away from their aggressors.

Being as how Purgie is to become her clans Shaman, she has adhered to a rigid code of which is expected of her. In times of combat she must only use the weapons of which her deity has given her. Her hands, feet, teeth ect. She must also learn the arts of being one with nature, drawing upon its energy to complete tasks.

At times Purgie may seem to struggle with her strict code of ethnics. She enjoys the feeling of helping others be it within the way nature intends or not. One day she may seem eager to help someone in need and the next she may ignore someones suffering, although she would never do anything blatantly evil. This is an ongoing conflict within her mind but she copes the best she can. This is just one of many things she must understand on her quest.

Like all of her clan, Purgie despises anything unnatural, Undead, Aberrations, Constructs, ect. She will go out of her way to ensure the dead are laid at peace and remain at peace.

For what Purgie lacks in IQ she makes up for in wisdom beyond her years. She may not understand mathematics or literature very well but she would like to think she knows right from wrong.

Approved

but

When leveling you cannot freely multi-class those two classes. You must take at least 5 levels in one before moving on to the next. Also, once you leave the path of the Druid or the Monk you cannot return.

Ex: If you start off as a Monk and you begin to take levels in Druid you cannot go back to taking Monk Classes.
