Character Approvals The characters on this board have been approved by a GM and may be played online, in the world.

Welcome to the Layonara forums!

Layonara is so much more than a game. We started off as a tabletop Dungeons and Dragons campaign more than a decade ago. Since then we have developed into a fantasy world with as much compelling and engrossing detail as you will find anywhere.

Our current showcase is a Neverwinter Nights version of Layonara, where our world comes to life in a finely polished persistent world which you can play free of charge. These forums are set up to support and accentuate our player's experiences, but it goes far beyond that.

After years of passionate effort, our world is so well developed, so detailed, so refined that any of the handbooks, maps, historical accounts, legends, descriptions of artifacts, creature reports, character biographies, short stories, novels, movies and original art which populate these forums can surely serve as resources or inspiration for your own fantasy endeavors, whatever they may be. And our world is endlessly evolving, so resources are frequently added and updated.

There are also years of sage advice and commentary on role-playing, gaming and online community development stored in these forums. If camaraderie is what you seek, we offer that too. Our community is as active and supportive as you're likely to find on the internet. In short, these forums are a resource for you to use for whatever purpose or project brought you here.

We're confident that you will find what you are looking for, and likely, substantially more.

Please be our guest and browse around the forums which are available to you. As you do, keep in mind that you are sampling only a portion of what Layonara has to offer. Membership in our community is free, and allows you to establish a Layonara identity to pose your questions and share your thoughts on the forums. Default Jack Flint

Age: 23
Class: Rogue/ with few fighter levels
Alignment: CG or CN, help me decide through the Bio

Bio: Message in a Bottle

Gold, treasure, women and adventure.

If you could ever , somehow get a straight answer out of Jack, that might be the answer you'd get. This is of couse
is what he wants in life and what he looks forward too. I remember in the last port we were in , he couldn't keep his eyes off
a beautiful wealthy looking woman. He bedded her that night, and returned to the ship with her purse.

It may have been six years ago that he was highered on to this ship, back then we were little more than coastal
treasure hunters. Jack was a young boy and no more than a deck hand but through time his talents became noticed,
I swear that boy could fast talk and out smart a dragon. It wasn't long before the captain took notice of him. The captain
had the boy running these secret missions into port and when ever jack would return we'd have to leave right away, and
cast off straight to an unknown location, yet we'd always find something.

I blinked my eyes, years later and realized we were pirates. Jack had grown into a young man, a young man who
now defied the captain at every turn. He didn't like what we did to innocent people, he wanted a life of adventure, not looking for the next ship to hit. It all went down when the captain decided it would be better to burn the ships we caught rather than take there cargo andlet them go. They were two very small ten men vessels we caught that night, almost not worth it. Jack would not allow it and the Captain had had enough. He took the crew prisoners and let Jack go down with the two small ships. Being his long time friend I couldn't let him die, so I slipped him a magic scroll I found as I remembered he had learnt to read and cast basic scrolls.I hope it helped him douse the fire on one of the ships at least enough to get to shore. I put this letter in a bottle at sea, just in case, Mad Jack Flint didn't make it.

Arrghhh!!! he made it sods .... cover your purse and hide your women the soon

to be greatest adventurer alive is coming to a port town near you.....all alone.....in a sinking ship.

( as for the alignment, I'm not sure. hes not a bad guy and he wants the best for everybody but he wants more for himself
and theres a dark side to his love of adventure, its to get power for revenge on you know who, I'd say more CG but you give
me input . another opinion couldn't hurt.)
