A youth raised by a woodcutter, Evanuel's true heritage is largely unknown. The touch of the planes is clear, however, in the unnatural platinum hair and eyes of rich sapphire. He lived a reclusive childhood, far from other children, and learned to appreciate the beauties of nature, despite his guardian's role in the lucrative business of harvesting trees.

A good man, but a business-minded one, his foster father often sought out schemes and business opportunities with locals to improve his financial standing. Eveanael respected the man, but often found himself donating what money he was given to the church, to aid the sick or less-fortunate, instead of visiting the local brothel or tavern. He withheld this information from his father, thinking it would only confuse or upset him.

He served his foster father for many years, assisting with work when he could, and re-reading the few texts his father could afford to keep in their home. His favorites were stories of old, heroes fighting to bring light to the world, defeating the evil that would rear its inevitable sneering head.

It is no surprise, then, that Evanuel sought to join the Church of Toran and help those in need. His large build did not lend itself to hours hunched over a table, studying manuscripts and scribing passages, and thus he was often called on for tasks of a more physically demanding nature. He has recently taken his vows, and is now undergoing an excursion to prove his loyalty to Toran, and to test his personal resolve and devotion to the church.

Evanuel is a patient, understanding person, but can often be stubborn in his thinking. He is quiet and reserved, and does not project his personality onto those around him. While he holds his God in his heart, he often appears sad and distant, wishing that life was not what it is, so full of horrors and depravity. It is with this mindset that he endeavours to better the world by his own hand, rather than playing the part of an observer simply hoping for a change of fortune.
