| Character Approvals The characters on this board have been approved by a GM and may be played online, in the world. | | Welcome to the Layonara forums!
Layonara is so much more than a game. We started off as a tabletop Dungeons and Dragons campaign more than a decade ago. Since then we have developed into a fantasy world with as much compelling and engrossing detail as you will find anywhere.
Our current showcase is a Neverwinter Nights version of Layonara, where our world comes to life in a finely polished persistent world which you can play free of charge. These forums are set up to support and accentuate our player's experiences, but it goes far beyond that.
After years of passionate effort, our world is so well developed, so detailed, so refined that any of the handbooks, maps, historical accounts, legends, descriptions of artifacts, creature reports, character biographies, short stories, novels, movies and original art which populate these forums can surely serve as resources or inspiration for your own fantasy endeavors, whatever they may be. And our world is endlessly evolving, so resources are frequently added and updated.
There are also years of sage advice and commentary on role-playing, gaming and online community development stored in these forums. If camaraderie is what you seek, we offer that too. Our community is as active and supportive as you're likely to find on the internet. In short, these forums are a resource for you to use for whatever purpose or project brought you here.
We're confident that you will find what you are looking for, and likely, substantially more.
Please be our guest and browse around the forums which are available to you. As you do, keep in mind that you are sampling only a portion of what Layonara has to offer. Membership in our community is free, and allows you to establish a Layonara identity to pose your questions and share your thoughts on the forums. | Tahl'ilfirin Tura'Tuaruial Name: Tahl'ilfirin Tura'Tuaruial
Age: 255
Class(es): Ranger, though I may possibly go shadowdancer as well.
Race: Elf
Subrace: Wood Elf
Alignment: CG
Diety: Folian S’pae
Bio/Description: Tahl was separated from his family when very young. His people were attacked without notice by a raiding party of drow when he was very young. A trusted friend of his mother’s swept him up and bore him out of the fray, thus saving his life from certain death. For years the two lived off the land, his mentor teaching Tahl all he knew of the wilds; how to survive in the harsh lands, which berries were poisonous and which were not, how best to approach and deal with the various creatures of the wild that he might come across. Tahl’s love and affinity for the wilds grew, and it was thus that he took up the mantle of Ranger, and became a hunter and protector of that which he loved most.
His body is now strong and wiry from countless years of hunting and living off the land. His raven black hair hangs to his shoulders, and his piercing emerald green eyes are so bright as to appear to literally glow at times. What is most unusual about this elf, are the slightly elongated canines that give him an almost feral look, and the tiny, razor sharp claws where his nails should be. | | |

| RE: Tahl'ilfirin Tura'Tuaruial This bio is not in depth enough for the special subrace. I would still like to see more in it about how the woodelf is integral to the character as opposed to being a regular elf. As it stands I see nothing that would make him a woodelf rather than a regular elf. It may help to visit the link below and read some of the great examples linked to there. http://www.layonaraonline.com/forums...w.asp?tid=4333
If you just wish to be a regular elf, then let me know.
Also you'll need to apply for the prestige class by updating this biography later for approval. It also helps to keep a Character Development thread to explain your change to that class.

| RE: Tahl'ilfirin Tura'Tuaruial In all honesty, I am not sure what else you may need to approve the wood elf portion, but I'll do my best here. My creativity is severely limited at the moment, thanks to writing constantly for my tech writing course, so please be patient with me.

As Tahl was growing up, his mentor would tell him great stories about the Forest where he was born, which was the High Forest on Mistone. His mentor would also tell him stories of his parents. His Mother was a gread Druid, striving hard to protect the Forest from incursions of Drow, orcs and any other foul beasts that sought to defile it. Tahl's father was a Ranger of renowned skill. Both his parents were incredibly protective of the great Trees and wildlife surrounding them. Tahl's mentor tried very diligently to instill a sense of his Wood ELf heritage in him as he grew. To say he succeeded would be an huge understatement.
Ever since Tahl was a young elf, he has always had an affinity for the Forests and all Her occupants...as a youngster he would often go out and play in the woods, often alone. He learned rather quickly how to recognize the various tracks and markings of the forest inhabitants.... Tahl’s love and affinity for the wilds grew, and it was thus that he took up the mantle of Ranger, and became a hunter and protector of that which he loved most.
