Bio:

Deodus was born in Far Reach, a town in western Mistone, west of Sielwood, in
Novlar 1354. With little defenses, this town knew some of the harshest raids
by Dark Elves and Undead, probably originating from the mysterious forest of
the same name, southwest of the town.

Deodus' parents, Richlar and Myridan Roman were simple folk, hardworking
farmers, and they would often travel to Drake to trade harvested goods. Richlar
sometimes competed in crudely organized hand-to-hand sparring competitions
there, sometimes for gold, other times for fun.

He would often try to teach Deodus some fighting techniques, some of which he
learned effectively having inherited his father's "meanstreak". However
nothing could completely deter Deodus' mind from books. He had a natural
curiosity, studying all sorts of arcane writings his father purchased from a
mysterious merchant in Drake. This satisfied his hunger but also sparked
interest for more. His parents tried to encourage this the best they could,
unfortunately with little money there was no chance Deodus getting a formal
education, especially in Far Reach.

When Deodus turned 19 years old his father took part in a hunt in the southern
forest, hoping to stop the raids. A little while into the forest one of
the group members was pulled into the shadows and gruesomely torn apart.
Everyone else retreated, and it was then that Deodus' parents contemplated
sending him out on his own to better his life. They worked very hard to give
Deodus as much as possible before he began his travels. One year later,
a heart-felt goodbye, a promise to return again a better man and a success,
Deodus left Far Reach in search of his calling.
