Short Bio/Description:
Sântadian was born during a lunar eclipse, hence the name Mal’Ithildaé, which translates roughly to “Shadow of the Golden moon”.
Sân’s childhood in the woods never was an easy one. Since he was one of the few males in the tribe his future as warrior and hunter was determined very early.
The experienced warriors, including his father, Rávo Taratar, and the clan-elder, Antáres Ilfirin, a powerful wizard and master of archery, taught him how to survive in the wilderness, track down animals over great distances, and setting up traps.
Simultaneously his mother showed him the beauty that lies within life itself. She taught him how to embrace this very beauty and form it into something, create something that reflects this it. Be it a song, or bow, not as a weapon but as an object of true art.
When Sân was 100 years old, so in elven terms barely a teenager, Antáres died a natural death. The loss of the leader was a great one, and soon (in elven terms, 14 years in humanterms) after, his father and another warrior, died during a hunt, when a tribe of rampaging orcs ambushed them and simply slaughtered the hunters.
Sân barely escaped and was badly injured. It took him several days to reach his tribe, only to find out that the orcs already arrived and killed most of the clan.
The other members made him responsible for what happened, although it was obvious that his training at this point was insufficient to hold them off or escape this brutal ambush any faster to warn the tribe.
Starting to believe that it indeed was his fault, and that he might have been able to save his father and his clan, he decided to leave them
Driven by revenge he wandered the land to find the orcs responsible for the death of his father. It didn’t took long to find out that they belong to a clan called Grothka, and where their Village was hidden. When Sân sneaked towards the village he was surprised of what he saw there.
One of their own kind was fighting them already. So he stayed hidden and watched the strange man slaughtering his brothers.
After the battle was over he discovered that the orc had a human girl with him. At first he didn’t understand what he was doing with her but his curiosity was rised.
Since his seek for revenge was settled for now and he couldn’t return to his tribe he decides to follow them. For many days he stayed hidden, watching the orc, studying him from afar, before he made another decision and finally revealed himself.
It took a while before he was able to get used to his new found companion, and for Sân it’s not yet sure if he can fully trust him, but he watched him how he cared about the Girl and he realized that he they have more in common one might think at the first glance.
// the orc he met is Vudash (a friend’s character)
Additional Infos:
Sânatidan is a tall, striking and somewhat boyishly handsome looking (often with ponytail) wildelf. His voice is firm and emits a certain authority and strength.
And although he values life and nature, he’s capable of fighting for what he thinks is good. He also respects human laws and social ranks, but is willing to bypass them for the “greater good”. The “greater good” means for him: What is best for most of the people in any given situation. If that means to sacrifice himself or others he’ll do it.
If he has to rob a bank to find proof for an ongoing conspiracy against a good and kind king, he’ll do it without hesitation. |
