Short Bio/Description:
Hakon cannot remember his parents, except what his brother Archim can tell him...which is little. And for a time, his only family in the world was his brother Archim. Together they were deposited by gypsies at the age of 8 in the monastery, and were taken under the direct tutelage of Grandmaster Bon. Some at the local village say there is something dark about their past, but the Grandmaster has never hinted at what this might be, and will not hear of it being brought up in discussion.

Together they were trained by Bon in a wide range of martial arts and disciplinces as befits the warrior monks of Aragen at the Monastery in Lar, in the center of the Grey Peak Mountains. And it was this study in which Hakon threw himself willingly to somehow find a purpose or his destiny, but more importantly, to replace the hole in his heart that was left when he and Archim were abandoned so long ago. Both he and his brother Archim excelled in their studys, and this pleased their master greatly. At long last Hakon and Archim had somewhere they could call home.

Life for the Berek brothers continued this way until one fateful night near their 18th season. On this night the monastery was set upon by a band of band of rogues and assasins. The quiet town was caught totally unprepared and was left in deep shock. The grand master was left stricken by some strange poison, rendering him delirious, and helpless. His fellow monks tried to care for him as best they could, but he would not improve. After an impromptu council was held, it was discovered that the assassins had taken religious relic of the monastery, the wooden bowl of the founding member of their monastery. Some of the monks sugguested this relic had strange powers, details of which had been lost over time, and maybe this was the reason that the bowl had been stolen. Others disagreed and said that the Grandmaster knew the powers of this arifact full well and that is why he was poisoned to such effect.

Either way, it was decided that someone must find and retrieve this artifact, holy to the order, and find the cure to the mysterius affliction of their beloved master. This task fell to the two most promising of the order, who were young enough to survive such an ordeal. So the brothers Hakon and Archim set forth to reclaim their orders relic, and perhaps...their destiny...

Hakon is slightly taller than his brother(6") but of a more slight, but muscly build. Like his brother he has black hair, which he keeps closely cropped. His features are sharper than his brothers. He has a cheerful, mischievous and thoughtful outlook on life, perhaps a survival mechanism given his past.
