Layonara is so much more than a game. We started off as a tabletop Dungeons and Dragons campaign more than a decade ago. Since then we have developed into a fantasy world with as much compelling and engrossing detail as you will find anywhere.
Our current showcase is a Neverwinter Nights version of Layonara, where our world comes to life in a finely polished persistent world which you can play free of charge. These forums are set up to support and accentuate our player's experiences, but it goes far beyond that.
After years of passionate effort, our world is so well developed, so detailed, so refined that any of the handbooks, maps, historical accounts, legends, descriptions of artifacts, creature reports, character biographies, short stories, novels, movies and original art which populate these forums can surely serve as resources or inspiration for your own fantasy endeavors, whatever they may be. I suppose I'm supposed to start making a char in register as player, but it doesn't work. It's wont approve my email adress (04xnd@tag-gym.dk) Is it because I registered that in this forum? The name is that my real or char name. Anyway here is my char:
Name: Zanirth Nûr Drïchtsarr
Class: Ranger
Race: Drow
Alignment: Chaotic good.
Background/examine: Zanirth Nûr Drïchtsarr, a member of the powerful family Nûr Drïchtsarr. Nûr means only, and Drïchtsarr darkness. The name describes Zanirth’s childhood very well.
Zanirth’s mother Singrathe was a an evil drow priest of Vierdri'ira. Singrathe devoted her life entirely to Vierdri'ira, and sought only to raise in her favour. She never thought of getting a descendant, because she sought immortality. Zanirth was thought to be nothing more than a ingredient in her dark rituals. Zanirth’s father was also supposed to be a sacrifice, but he fled. As a vampire Singrathe used Zanirth’s blood, and used her screams, to show Vierdri'ira her devotion. Zanirth hated her mother by all her heart. No one cared for her, other drow children was either scared of her, because of her mother, or envious, because of her noble family. The only person Zanirth loved was her unknown father, the only one who ever had opposed her mother.
When Zanirth reached her hundred year, her mother took her to the surface, where she and her warriors slaughtered the nearest elven town, in a dark ritual. Zanirth however, took the chance and fled from her guardian, or gaoler. First she sought to the nearby forest Sielwod. So far Zanirth knew only darkness, but in the forest she got another view of life. Surprisingly it seemed, as if the creatures of the wood knew her history, and they helped her to become one of them.
When she was a hundred an twelve years old she left the forest, the first civilized place she got to was the town Hlint.
Zanirth had learned about the world, and therefore she knows more than it might seem. She hate Vierdri'ira and her mother by all her heat. Baraeonand her race is hated too. Humans, dwarfs, elves gnomes and other surface creatures isn’t in her favour either, but she feel a bit sorry for the elves. The only one she trusts, is the creatures of the forest. Az’atta isn’t someone she believes in, but she is an inspiration.
Her only activity in the underdark was books, and drawing. She draws her life, and maps the places she come to.
The only one she likes, her quest, is her father...
hmmm, I dont know if there is a way from the underdark to Sielwod, and if there is any elven towns around there, plz tell me. It's pretty cool that the portraits from BG and Icewind dale are there, but some of the portraits just shows white... How do I fix that?

My fault! the phrase "as a vampire" doesn't mean that Singrathe was a vampire, but that she used Zanirth's blood in dark rituals. I've deleted that a made a few changes:
Name: Zanirth Nûr Drïchtsarr

Class: Ranger/Rogue/shadowdancer (She will level ranger, then rogue and so on, until she can be a shadowdancer.)
Age: 112
Aligment: CG (Good because she is good in her heat, but she dont trust others, except the wood, so she doesnt respect human rules)

At first sight, Zanirth may be looked upon as a cleric of Vierdri'ira, because of the dark purple and red tattoos, which, cover her body, and fast judging people may dislike or even attack her at first sight. Zanirth not even remember if the reds are tattoos, or her own blood, which after many cuttings has coloured her permanently.
Zanirth had learned about the world, and therefore she knows more than it might seem. She hate Vierdri'ira and her mother by all her heat. Baraeonand her race is hated too. I had a few other questions in my first topic which I would be happy to had answers on. Beside when I have created the char is I then able to chande look and bio? As she progress?

Approved. Welcome to Layonara.
The Server IP is 64.127.106.68 and Layonara can also be found under Roleplay on Gamespy.
The password is layoplayer
There are many exits/entrances to the underdark and they all come and go over time. The main entrance (via the servers at least) currently exists on the east server (but you would not have left via that exit). You can state that you arrived in Sielwood if you wish.
