Yep, that's right! The long-awaited update to support Bioware's 1.69 patch is just about done and will be released soon. In order to properly support this patch, we have some new HAK packs that you'll need to download. These files are up and available for download right now here.
Specifically, you will need to download the following new files and unpack them into your NWN/hak folder: layo_controlV3r5.rar (2.9MB) layov3_extra_v1.rar (46.8MB) layov3_update_v1.rar (90.6MB)
You may download and unpack these files now without impacting your ability to play on Layonara. All other Layonara HAK files should remain in-place. IMPORTANT: Do NOT update to 1.69 until I announce the update is in-place. The update is not quite ready to go, but it should be released within the week, if all goes well.

Hi folks. I am sorry for the hassle everybody has had over the past few days. I think things are cleared now, for the most part at least.
I had a "conversation" with the hosting site last night at about 11pm and they proceeded to do more maintenance which included replacing some routers through the night. As of 4:15am (Pacific) things should be better now.
There may be a few more bumps dealing with gamespy but the servers should be reachable now.
Once again, sorry for the down time and the lag.

In our opinion music is core to the acceptance of any game within any genre. It is very important that the music fits the game-play, game-style, as well as the world. We were very lucky to find Jason (Eon Blue). He has immense talent and a deep dedication to the creation of quality music for all to enjoy.
Here are three tracks that he has created for Layonara. Enjoy! http://layonara.com/share/music/Track1_Main.mp3 http://layonara.com/share/music/Track2_Choir.mp3 http://layonara.com/share/music/Track3_D_Ambience.mp3 A little about Jason:
Music has been a passion of mine since I was little. Growing up in rural Ohio I didn't have many musical outlets available to me and spent most of my time annoying my parents with guitar noise and imagining I was a rock star. The more I listened to music, the more I wanted to advance beyond the three chord guitar rock and learn everything I could. I quickly found out that there is a whole lot to learn! I've had many personal teachers, read more books than I could count, completed a two year course through Berklee College of Music, and still feel I'm in the 'hobby' stages. But I've loved every minute of it.
The last few years have seen a huge explosion in music technology making it possible for an average person to create and record music that was previously available to only a select few. Ten years ago, in order to create an orchestral soundtrack you had to have access to an orchestra and recording studio. Now it just takes a computer and a couple pieces of software. It's an incredible feeling to sit down at your computer, write a few notes, and immediately hear an entire symphony play them.
In my case, it's allowed me to combine my passion for video games with my passion for music and led me to work with the layonara team. I'm very thankful for being given the opportunity to be involved with this project. It's been a blessing to work with so many talented individuals. I think the end result is going to blow everyone's socks off!

Hello everyone,
While things have been a bit quiet from our end on these forums in the recent past, there is no lack of production going on in development of the future game client and world. In fact things have been as busy as they have ever been and we're growing more and more excited about our direction.
I am posting here to announce the launch of our development log web site where we hope to keep both our existing community and external interests abreast of the development of Layonara.
So without furthur ado, I present http://devlog.layonara.com
Keep it bookmarked and if you wish to comment on things, you can do so either here on the forums or by directly commenting on the log. We'll also be notifying this forum when a new entry has been added until it becomes second nature to keep up to date on that site as well.
Thank you to everyone for your continued support of Layonara.
Cheers,
orth
