Character Approvals The characters on this board have been approved by a GM and may be played online, in the world.

Welcome to the Layonara forums!

Layonara is so much more than a game. We started off as a tabletop Dungeons and Dragons campaign more than a decade ago. Since then we have developed into a fantasy world with as much compelling and engrossing detail as you will find anywhere.

Our current showcase is a Neverwinter Nights version of Layonara, where our world comes to life in a finely polished persistent world which you can play free of charge. These forums are set up to support and accentuate our player's experiences, but it goes far beyond that.

After years of passionate effort, our world is so well developed, so detailed, so refined that any of the handbooks, maps, historical accounts, legends, descriptions of artifacts, creature reports, character biographies, short stories, novels, movies and original art which populate these forums can surely serve as resources or inspiration for your own fantasy endeavors, whatever they may be. And our world is endlessly evolving, so resources are frequently added and updated.

There are also years of sage advice and commentary on role-playing, gaming and online community development stored in these forums. If camaraderie is what you seek, we offer that too. Our community is as active and supportive as you're likely to find on the internet. In short, these forums are a resource for you to use for whatever purpose or project brought you here.

We're confident that you will find what you are looking for, and likely, substantially more.

Please be our guest and browse around the forums which are available to you. As you do, keep in mind that you are sampling only a portion of what Layonara has to offer. Membership in our community is free, and allows you to establish a Layonara identity to pose your questions and share your thoughts on the forums. Full Name: Grockar Truebeard Age: 57 Class(es): Cleric/Champion of Vorax(by the way, is this PrC 5 or 10 levels?) Race: Dwarf Subrace: None Alignment: LG Deity: Vorax 2 Domains (if cleric): War and Protection Bio/Description: He was born in a family of warriors, and as such he was taught by his father and his older brothers about the arts of war and battle since he was little, but he was also taught of honor. He showed promise in his exercises, and he soon mastered all the techniques of fighting that had been passed through generations of his family. His family had been devouts of Vorax since they learnt of him, though, and Grockar had always been fond of his clerics, and asked a lot about the Father of Battle and the other gods. One day, when he was about 20, he decided he wanted to join the clergy, to be one of the brave men and (few)women who dedicated their life to upholding the principles of honorable battle. His family deemed him brave for being willing to embrace the difficult path, and as such he was soon on his way to the temple, his armor, weapons, shield, and clothes strapped to his back. The years at the temple were hard, but Grockar perservered, and when he finished his training at the temple, he set foot out of the mountains for the first time in his life, with the purposeÂof promotingÂprotection, and battle. He abides by all rules that the church has, but doesn't share the distrust for arcane magic of the rest of his kin: he respects its usefulness in the battlefield, and even more it if it is used to promote worthy goals. When he finnaly reached Hlint he dreamed of a gold dragon who told him he was the chosen one, which he supposed was an emissary of Vorax, and this strengthened even more his faith.
I'd like to apply for an Ear of Celestial, which was part of his training. My intelligence is 12.

Can you please expand some displaying his personal relationship to Vorax. Also I wouldnt claim to be the chosen one of vorax. Finally I see no reason for a celestial ear in your bio. Update it if you want that part approved.

ÂHe's not the chosen one, he just thought that the dragonÂhad beenÂsent by Vorax to tell him what he had to do. His personal relationship with Vorax is deep, heÂaccepts thatÂall gods have a purpose, after al Vorax couldn't fight if Dorand didn't craft weapons, or if there were no enemy gods, but he chooses to serve Vorax because the deity is the embodiement of his own principles. Forget about the celestial ear then.
