Short Bio/Description:

Lili Miles grew up in the forest town of Beirun in the northwest of Mistone. Born to a human father and wood elf mother, Lili quickly became absorbed with the forest craft of her father and spent many a day with him, tracking animals and learning the ways of the forest. She also learned to venerate the goddess Katia because of these close links to nature. When not with her father, Lili would spend time with her mother learning the beautiful craftsmanship and music of the elves.

When she was just 10 years old, a knock at the door one evening changed her world forever. Hastily bundled into a cupboard by her fearful parents, Lili listened in growing unease as men with deep voices spoke to her parents; Lili’s foreboding grew as a fight ensued. Shaking with terror at the screams from her mother and the noises of the fight, Lili pressed the palms of her hands against her ears, closed her eyes and cried silently. The noises died away. Hearing the sounds coming from the Miles’ house, the neighbours had run out into the street holding lanterns; they entered Lili’s house to find a scene of chaos. At the sound of friendly voices calling her name, Lili called out an answer and soon the cupboard doors were opened and Lili was gently coaxed out.

Without understanding what had happened or why, Lili spent the rest of her childhood living with neighbours who were close family friends. When old enough to understand, Lili gleaned what she could from the events that had taken place that night. All the neighbours could tell her was that they had left their houses in time to see several men, carrying the unconscious forms of Lili’s parents, leaving the town and heading into the woods. Some of the village men folk had given chase but the assailants seemed to have disappeared without a trace. The only clue Lili had was to who the men were was a medallion of the god Baraeon Ca'Duz, found wedged in the floor boards of the Miles’ house which had apparently been dropped during the fight. Lili has carried it with her ever since.

As Lili grew up, she never abandoned the dedication she had to her fathers profession, and answered the calling of the forest to become a ranger.

A burning passion to discover why her parents had been taken and to where made Lili’s task a simple one. When she had come of age, she must find her parents to rescue them or avenge their deaths. But how to go about this task? Lili decided to leave the peaceful town of Beirun (where none were brave enough to take on such a task with her) and seek her fortune in the world as a mercenary, gaining experience on her travels as well as finding people to help her in her quest and to raise funds.

When she was 19, Lili was finally mentally and physically prepared to begin on her journey.
