Early years
Irving started life pretty hard... and hasnt moved much from his humble beginning. Born the illegitimate son of a tavern owner, and his mother a serving girl in that same tavern. He was told since he was old enough to understand that he is a bastard son of an adventurer, (in order to not upset the tavern owners wife), he has had dreams of becoming just like his non existant father, a non existant legendary hero of blade and magic. His early years were spent as stable boy and rustabout for the tavern, until the day, at the age of 13, he learnt of his mothers indescretions and confronted the tavern owner... in front of the tavern keepers wife. The tavern keeper denied it and kicked him and his mother out of the tavern, she became sick and died two winters later. A moment he now tries to shun from his memory to such a point where he is indenial, reinforced by guilt, that he is a not a Tavern Keepers son. He has now convinced himself that he is a Legendary heroes son he searches for that hero, knowing deep down, subconsciously, that he will never find him.

Skills and Talents
His 'skills', if you can call them that, are derived from those learnt from an old blind musician who also lived at the Tavern and from sneaking around the tavern late stealing food from the pantry or learning slight of hand from the bad crowd.

Motivation, Drives and Ambitions
Irving unfortunately is lacking of all heroic qualities. He shuns physical hardships/labor, likes to make a quick buck and can never gain the courage to venture into dangers way. He is meek when sober, although he has a sharp tongue which is sadly not tempered by wisdom. He is destined to become a drunk if he finds no saviour or inner strength. He takes solace in alcohol. He fancies himself popular with the ladies, but its talk. He wants to be rich one day but has no idea how. He would be happy to find a big fat purse to further his ambitions, but would probably spend that gold on loose women, alcohol and foolish things. He enjoys the moment. He doesnt plan to much for the future.
