Layonara is so much more than a game. We started off as a tabletop Dungeons and Dragons campaign more than a decade ago. Since then we have developed into a fantasy world with as much compelling and engrossing detail as you will find anywhere.
Our current showcase is a Neverwinter Nights version of Layonara, where our world comes to life in a finely polished persistent world which you can play free of charge. These forums are set up to support and accentuate our player's experiences, but it goes far beyond that.
After years of passionate effort, our world is so well developed, so detailed, so refined that any of the handbooks, maps, historical accounts, legends, descriptions of artifacts, creature reports, character biographies, short stories, novels, movies and original art which populate these forums can surely serve as resources or inspiration for your own fantasy endeavors, whatever they may be. And our world is endlessly evolving, so resources are frequently added and updated.

Bio/ Description:
Kate is 5 foot 7 in height, she has brown hair and blue eyes, she has pale white skin and a slender build.
Growing up:-
Kate has one older brother “Kenrick” who is 26 years older than her, her parents own a shop in Liken where they live.
When Kate was growing up, from the age of 4 Kenrick had play fights with her using toy swords, he is a village guard and is very skilled at swordplay, he helped Kate with the sword fighting because every time she played with him she was smiling and happy, she admires Kenrick, he protects everyone in the village, she wanted to do the same when she was older.
When Kate was 7 years old she was playing in her parents shop with Kenrick practising her sword skills, their parents were looking after the shop when two barbarians came in, they wanted to steal from the shop.
They never knew that Kenrick was one of the village guards, one of them hit Kate’s mum to the floor and waved a dagger at her dad’s throat, while the other one punched Kenrick in the nose with his dagger handle, Kenrick fell to the floor holding his nose in pain.
The barbarian then looked at Kate and laughed at her when she raised her toy sword at him, he chucked her to the floor and got ready to kick her... Kenrick got up from behind the barbarian and grabbed the dagger from him, and held it up against his throat, Kenrick looked at Kate making shore she wasn’t hurt.. the other barbarian turned to see what was happening and Kate’s dad then grabbed the dagger from him as well, holding it at him..
Kate looked at her brother and dad, they never attacked with anger, they wanted to protect her and her mum, and once they had the weapons they didn’t go for revenge, they got the barbarians to empty their pockets and said never come back here, or it will be your death, pushing them outside the village.
They never came back and this day was the day that Kate knew that she wanted to go into the world to protect people just as Kenrick and her dad did on that day, Kate wants to do the same throughout the lands.
Everyday she practiced her sword and defending skills, her battles with her brother got faster and more skilful, she helped her mum and dad in the shop as well building her strength by carrying things.
When she reached the age of 15 her brother was extremely impressed by her skills, she started to help Kenrick guarding the village.
As she reached the age of 18 she told her brother and parents she wants to go out into the world now, to see the beauty of different places and help people along the way.
Her brother said “I don’t want you to go alone, I know you are skilled but I want to come with you to keep you save” Kate replied to her brother “please stay and defend Liken, I will meet some people and join them with their travels, protecting people along the way, I won’t be alone” Kenrick decided to stay to defend the village, but preys that Kate will be safe in her Journeys..
Kate said her goodbyes, telling that she will return later in the year to see how everyone is, with that she walked along the path waving farewell, she looked at Kenrick and saw that he was proud of her, she is about to start an adventure, what city should she go to, to start her journey?...
