| Character Approvals The characters on this board have been approved by a GM and may be played online, in the world. | | Welcome to the Layonara forums!
Layonara is so much more than a game. We started off as a tabletop Dungeons and Dragons campaign more than a decade ago. Since then we have developed into a fantasy world with as much compelling and engrossing detail as you will find anywhere.
Our current showcase is a Neverwinter Nights version of Layonara, where our world comes to life in a finely polished persistent world which you can play free of charge. These forums are set up to support and accentuate our player's experiences, but it goes far beyond that.
After years of passionate effort, our world is so well developed, so detailed, so refined that any of the handbooks, maps, historical accounts, legends, descriptions of artifacts, creature reports, character biographies, short stories, novels, movies and original art which populate these forums can surely serve as resources or inspiration for your own fantasy endeavors, whatever they may be. And our world is endlessly evolving, so resources are frequently added and updated.
There are also years of sage advice and commentary on role-playing, gaming and online community development stored in these forums. If camaraderie is what you seek, we offer that too. Our community is as active and supportive as you're likely to find on the internet. In short, these forums are a resource for you to use for whatever purpose or project brought you here.
We're confident that you will find what you are looking for, and likely, substantially more.
Please be our guest and browse around the forums which are available to you. As you do, keep in mind that you are sampling only a portion of what Layonara has to offer. Membership in our community is free, and allows you to establish a Layonara identity to pose your questions and share your thoughts on the forums. | Felonia Halfblood Age: 20
Class(es): Druid
Race: Halfling
Sex: Female
Subrace: - Lightfoot?
Alignment: TN
Deity: - Katia?
Bio/Description:
Felonia is tainted with the blood of the yuan-ti, which has given her a distinctive look. She is approximately 3ft tall, slender build, her hair is green, and her skin is pale with what perhaps can be best described as a yellow/green tint. Felonia is physically weak, but her unusual heritage has made her agile and given her a strong spirit.

Felonia has no idea as to her true parentage. When she was still a young child, her home village was ransacked by marauders. Felonia's mother managed to escape with her to some nearby woodland. The raiders brutally murdered everyone, but strangely, just discarded valuables and livestock. It was almost as though they were looking for something, or perhaps someone? Rumour has it there were some yuan-ti among the few marauders that were killed.
Felonia isn't certain how she ended up with the druids. She remembers her and her mother just running and running. They didn't stop moving for the best part of the day, but come evening they about collapsed from exhaustion. Felonia remembers bright lights and voices. Next she was being carried in someone’s arms, but her mother was being carried by several robed figures on what looked like a bed. She fell asleep again from the exhaustion.
The next day, Felonia woke up in a small hut. Her mother was on a bed and being tended by an elderly robed man. Felonia went over to see her mother, who was very weak and heavily sweating. Her mother spoke quietly to her and promised her she would be safe now. At the time Felonia didn't understand the full meaning of these words.
The next day, her mother never woke up from her sleep and Felonia was left alone with the druids. She was raised by the Druids as though she was one of their own, never judging her for the way she looked. She felt cared for and safe.
Things were different in the city though. People there would often stare at her unusual looks, or talk behind her back. Never violent towards her, she just felt uncomfortable with the unwanted attention. These attitudes have made Felonia wary of city folk and she finds it hard to make friends. After her visits to the city, Felonia was always grateful to be back in the forest.
The druids taught her the ways of nature. How to be one with nature, how to talk with animals, and how to use the power of nature to aid her and others. Most importantly though, she was to learn tolerance of people and animals, and to learn that there must be balance in all things. Felonia strives hard to keep this balance, especially within herself. Generally she is more akin to good, but she feels a rage within herself and a need for revenge, but she manages to keep this under control as best she can.
While exploring the nearby woodlands Felonia discovered an large injured rat. Not wanting to see any animal suffer, she attempted to heal it of its wounds and in so doing a strange bond connected the pair. She named him Styx and he has travelled by her side ever since. Styx is a faithful companion and will protect Felonia even if it means sacrificing his own life, such is the bond between them. Unfortunately, not everyone shares Felonia's love of Styx.
As Felonia has come into adulthood, her halfling spirit has started to dominate more and she has felt the need to travel and see new places. Perhaps visit some of the other wonderful forests and woods within Layonara.
At this time in her career, Felonia sees no other path for her than that of a Druid. She has heard wonderous tales of fellow druids summoning, and even transforming into, elementals and would like to experience this for herself if she is able.

| RE: Felonia Halfblood Having some Yuan-Ti blood would most likely be acceptable as long as it was in herited from someone fairly far away in the characters ancestry, meaning her parents nor grandparents can't be the origin of the taint. I assume you are planning on taking the Snake Blood feat on first level?

| RE: Felonia Halfblood Yes, Snakeblood would be my 1st level feat.
I will change the bio to reflect a more ancient inheritance of the snakeblood.
